The Passengers series is a subsection of Simina Grigoriu’s mighty Kuukou Records - the premise of which is to provide a platform for auspicious artists who have yet to transition toward the limelight but are destined to do so. So far it's hosted a swathe of producers from across the globe including the likes of The Rocketman, Jägerhertz, Dalosy and Vamos Art.
Number 7 in the series comes clad with the same sturdy attitude as it's predecessors as it brings together tracks from Greek artist George Adi, Belgian talent AM.I and Italian producers Clif Jack and Jacopo Susini.
George Adi kicks things off with a dense, overdriven kick with thunders under progressive, interweaving melodies that are punctuated by neat snare flicks and filter control. AM.I follows up with pellucid percussion and a swelling sense of tension. The track thins and thickens throughout as a bit crushed piano line and emotive tones ring out which perfectly encapsulate her unapologetic approach to floor focused dance music.
Clif Jack then follows up with 'Go On Home' - a deep and refreshingly simple track that demonstrates the potency of raw drums and clever sequencing. Jacopo Susini then brings things to a close with 'Face To Face' - a peak-time roller which sets twinkling tones and synth stabs over a dark, throbbing underbelly which rounds off another solid addition to the Passenger series.

Berlin’s Ruede Hagelstein is a long-time fixture of the Berlin music scene, with releases on some of the city’s premiere labels, including Watergate, Souvenir and Upon You. He’s been a longtime friend of Do Not Sit as well, including his Naive Kunst EP in 2019.

He returns to the label with production partner, Justin Evans for his Scirocco EP. Featuring two complimentary tracks - the heavier, arpeggiated sound of the title track, combined with the slow burn of “Chamsin”.

Veteran London producer and Smiley Fingers label boss, Larry Cadge, joins the Neverwhere family with three fresh, raw techno bangers ready for the dance floor. After Camea and Larry’s explosive appearance on the Second State SUM Compilation in January, the musical connection was indisputable. Camea’s imprint, Neverwhere, is honored to release Larry’s next solo EP, Dissociative Amnesia.

The titled track is a meteoric, head spinning tune with transformative techno loops and spacious open hi-hats. Larry’s sophisticated production shines through here with a perfectly crafted techno track that will bring vibe to any heated dance floor.

‘Brainwashing’ follows up the titled track with a more subtle but driving groove with distorted, planetary elements that transmute listeners into a dystopian, robotic frame of mind.

‘Synaptic Connections’ closes out the EP in raw, seasoned style with funky, galactic arpeggiations and an animated sub bass. All three tracks are lively, vibey and will blaze dancefloors into the cosmos.

Kollektiv Turmstrasse releases new EP, YAP, on 1st July. The 3-track-release marks the first new material since 2019, presenting an ever-evolving sound that channels the legacy of the artist’s dancefloor savvy roots combined with a playful exploration of the lighter sides of house and techno.

Kolllektiv Turmstrasse steers into unexplored sonic territory and an introspective space with this new EP. Meticulous production skills combined with a soulful joy shine through with opening track, “YAP”. The track is a celebration of the pure and euphoric feelings human beings develop for one another (“You Are Perfect”), and demands the listener shimmies, shakes and forgets the outside world. The track starts on a methodical and hypnotic trajectory until vocals, synths, snares and hi-hats fly in from all angles to create a mosaic of grooving sound. Kollektiv Turmstrasse has a knack for blending multiple genres in one track, and the R&B vocals adding an unexpected garage flavour. With “YAP”, Kollektiv Turmstrasse creates a musical alchemy, occupying that dreamy space between evolution and nostalgia.

“I’m OK” plays with the limits and edges of house and minimal, combining 4:4 rhythms with scattered synths and sharp vocals. The track explores our tendency to create facades to cover our inner turmoil, reflected through builds and drops that add tension and texture, while giving a packed out dance floor no choice but to move.

Cameaʼs latest release on her imprint Neverwhere pays homage to her hometown Seattleʼs
original underground rave warehouse, NAF Studios, where she went dancing in the late 90s
and began her journey that ultimately landed her in Berlin. Also where Nirvannaʼs “Smells
Like Teen Spirit” video was filmed (and ironically now a Catholic publishing house), the
hedonistic venue is legendary to those who picked up rave flyers scattered on the streets of
Seattle and took a chance on an emerging new electronic music scene.
Both originals reflect the raw warehouse vibe of this era, and Matrixxman and Markus Suckut
have weighed in with heavy remixes. Markus puts his signature on the NAF 97 original with a
deep space atmospheric techno banger, and Matrixxman reworks the original 303
recordings in Jack U, sending it into another dimension - and even further.
