May 2018 Discoveries.

Many people simply want to hear and enjoy some great new music without having to waste time searching for hours. These Musical Discoveries collections aim to fulfill those needs. At least, we hope so! :)

This playlist is a compilation of the favourite musical discoveries of the Wud Records team from everything they heard at SoundCloud during May 2018.

Tracks have been arranged according to the number of plays at the time of publishing, starting with the fewest. Tracks that are early in playlists tend to receive more plays than later tracks, and we feel that the ones with fewer plays need the best chance of exposure.

This playlist is extremely eclectic, so if the track you are playing isn't quite doing it for you, try the next one. It will probably be completely different.

If you enjoyed listening to something here, please give it a like and a repost. Follow the artist. Give them a shoutout on social media. Check out some of their other tracks. Aloneliness

OK, this is the title track from the new album.
I've spent many long laborious hours in front of a computer screen, coding, creating and learning. I've also spent countless hours pulling my hair out and shouting at the VDU. So, as ever, I decided to make some noise with that in mind. Most of the album is already on SoundCloud so don't forget to check it out.
Incidentally, this is the first (and probably the last) time my voice has ever been on one of my tracks. Highly modified but you can still tell it's me. In theory. The computer error messages are taken directly from the error alerts on my home system. OK, they were created by me then strong-armed into my system, so I just reused the old samples. Seems to work OK though, I think...
The jazz theme comes from my wanting to show that although programming anything can be fun, it also has a frustratingly gloomy side to it too. My task then, was to come up with a melody and tune that portrayed that. Jazz, I felt, had the most to offer here :O) at least for me. So, that's it really...

Syntax Error at Line 10

A new track taken from the mitts of my finish track pile. I do have a lot a tracks to get out to you but I've got some pretty big news come August 3rd.

Lost

A Critical Error track taken from the mixing desk at a gig at the Sleeper in Seaton sometime in the late 1980s.
What't not to like about it?
There's two acoustic guitars and a bass trying to sound a little like Hawkwind!
There's Rose and Steve's singing.
There's my attempt at trying to get a little "muso" by deciding that playing in Phygrian mode would be best for that "eastern sound" when really I'd have been far better off just learning the notes.
And best of all, there's Rose's full on "Devon maid" shout of "Cheers!" at the end of the track.

When recording this off the old Yamaha four track, I searched the internet for references to the Sleeper in Seaton. I couldn't find any - I think that says a lot!

Powerless

99-ben újra összeállt a csapat, Gyarmathy Zsolt helyébe Nátor János lépett.

Az évekkel azelőtt stúdióban felvett dalok körül jogi problémák keletkeztek, és úgy döntöttünk hogy átalakítjuk az albumot. Új zeneszámokkal bővítettük ki, és a meglévő dalokat is újrakevertük. 
Kb. 5 hónap alatt minden dalt újrakevertünk, de ezeken még nem volt ének.
Sajnos pár nóta elveszett az évek során. :(
