2022 Residents Mix Series

We are back with another mix in Series 3, This time around we have Samantix behind the controls, Sam recently started getting into mixing but has always been a raver. She knows what she wants to play and has a huge passion for mixing.

Sam recently performed her first set out at Swindon Music Festival and it was quality, she was blending tracks past to present and all the best bits in between. Sam has recently joined a group called beats, bars and banter who support one another with anything music related, its pretty awesome to see someone being so positive about what her friends are doing and supporting them all while following her passion with mixing and drum and bass.

ONCAST 013 - ft DJ EMGEE

The "JDNB Family" mix series is focussed on the artists we have working with us at JDNB and the second entry is a jungle and drum & bass mix brought to you by Bren.

Bren has been a part of the JDNB journey and family from very early on, from Editor, to Chief Editor, and now the JDNB Website Manager.

Hailing from County Durham in the North East of England, Bren's music legacy picked up traction in 1984 when he first began mixing hip-hop and electro, then progressing onto the underground realms of breakcore. After showing the many strings he has to his bow, then witnessing the birth of jungle and drum & bass, this is now all Bren mixes (apart from an occasional flirt with breakbeat).

Now residing in East London, Bren still thrives on the old-school jungle style and, even though they are recently released, you will find that the tracks in this mix all hold the same old-school fundamentals.

We're delighted to announce new resident Gifta joins the New Bass Order family!

A Drum & Bass DJ at heart, aspiring producer and independent label owner residing between London and Reading, Gifta's already made serious waves in her short time bursting onto the scene, founding her own label 'Phase Records' only two years ago with a focus to nurture new talent and create a safe space on her diverse roster of artists.

She made a big impression on her NBO debut in February, playing B2B Kalane in Room 2 on our sold out Oxford show with Symmetry Recordings and we can't wait to continue to champion her unique style and raucous energy! 

Gifta's style spans the full spectrum of DnB, steering towards the darker side, incorporating elements of minimal, rollers and tech-laced neuro in her sets.

We're excited to have Gifta join the family as our first announced resident for 2022  and look forward to a future of opportunities for this bright talent 🚀

We're excited to welcome new resident Kalane to the NBO family!

A long-time lover of Drum & Bass from Reading (UK), Kalane took up the craft of production in 2018 with a desire to expand his skills as a DJ and build on his experience as a flourishing artist.

Dark, mystic & minimal early releases with an industrial, techy influence pave the way for what's yet to come from this rising talent.

In a short time Kalane has made serious moves on the underground circuit with early releases on Ekou Recordings, Rebel Music, Trust Audio, Yamatai Records & Phase Records, reeling in breakthrough support from Noisia, Trex & Ill Truth and many others.

He brings a heavy selection with a gnarly style in a live setting as he demonstrated b2b Gifta on his New Bass Order debut last month in Oxford with Symmetry Recordings and again earlier this month at our room takeover at Ministry of Sound Club!  

We can't wait for what's to come in 2022 and beyond.

As we continue to grow through 2022, we're hyped to announce ADA as latest resident to join the NBO family!

Hailing from Poland and now London based ADA is an exciting, rising drum & bass DJ and aspiring producer, rapidly making a name for herself on the underground circuit after exploding onto the scene just 2 years ago with her debut club performance for Invicta Audio at Blue Mountain and Lakota in Bristol in 2019. 

Still fairly new to the scene she has already supported widely respected artists like Spectrasoul, Upgrade, Sub Zero and Dimension to name a few playing across leading venues in Bristol and London as well as internationally in Warsaw. 

Her inspiration comes from the likes of Bou, Randall and Kings of the Rollers which shines through in her live sets as she dips & dives through unexpected, fierce & gritty selections and challenges herself to explore new, unique styles.

Making her NBO debut at Ministry Of Sound in March on our Baby Box takeover, she made a huge impression which made it an easy decision for us to welcome her aboard the family as we continue to grow & finesse the team! 

We're hugely excited for what's still to come from another bright, promising and serious talent to join the NBO roster.
