Starting out you may miss things in your assessments that mean you make the wrong diagnosis.

You get to session 2 or 3 and start to question if you are treating the right thing.

Maybe you made a diagnosis but then your patient or athlete gets a scan or goes to see a specialist and gets told it’s something else.

Maybe you just get it plain wrong and your patient senses this.

It is so easy to treat the wrong shoulder pain problem. 

You find a ACJ problem...

So you treat the ACJ.

You diagnose a rotator cuff, bursa or proximal bicep injury, so you focus your attention on that injury...

Even though your patient does not actually have a problem at that part of the shoulder!

WTF!!!

Why would you expect your patient to improve if you are treating the wrong thing?
