Chain Two is the second remix compilation on the label New Port Records. Together with artists such as Jan Ritter, Monova, Jan Fleck, Red Rooms, Copilco, Robin Decker and Raphael Hofman, we have generated something new again from already released tracks. We all share the same love for technoid, bass-heavy music. Everything is connected and has a meaning, even if this sense is often hidden, we know that we are close to our true mission when our actions are imbued with the energy, the driving tones, the oppressive bass and the enthusiasm. So we forged an interlocking chain of synthesizer, drums, pads, claps and leads to create something new, tangible. And so we would like to pass on the one to the other and to celebrate the sense of community and cohesion.

Abora favorite Afternova comes back to Abora Skies with a very special release. This is the 2015 Essential Remakes, which contains your favorite Afternova tracks, updated by the man himself!

Starting off with the beautiful 2015 remake of "Tranquility", Afternova manages to keep the general feeling of the song intact. With its pumping bassline and its emotional breakdown that then leads to an epic climax, full of energy and passion, this remake of "Tranquility" is the perfect start to the unique release!

Next is the remake of his 2013 hit "Into The Sky". Afternova manages to give a new and fresh feeling to the track. Paul Hided & Airzoom proudly present "The Soul of Tabity", their debut collaboration on Abora Recordings.

Serenamente, the Portuguese word for peacefully, is probably the most accurate word to describe this amazing journey, created by the well-established and renowned Portuguese producer and guitarist, SoundLift.

Combining the Balearic feeling of the flamenco guitar and the unmistakable sound of the duduk, among other ethnic and traditional instruments, this album showcases beautiful and well-crafted pieces of music from track to track.

The album starts with "Armenian Flavours", a brilliant piece combining guitar and duduk in perfect harmony, with gorgeous pads and nature sounds.

"Arenas Blancas" uses the same instruments, but the percussion here is fundamental to giving you a feeling of relaxation and well being, while you imagine yourself on a trip across the most exotic destinations.

Then we have "Serenamente", the track that gives the album its name, starting with the powerful yet smooth sound of the duduk. It's amazing how this instrument can give such feelings when played with emotion. The track is atmospheric and very rhythmic, keeping the listener entertained and asking for more.

"El Sol" is pure flamenco music. The guitar here is the main focus of the track and provides a traditional Spanish vibe, especially when the singer sings along with it.

"La Vida", "Peace", and "Early Morning" tell us a story of a living day, all of them containing and showcasing different traditional instruments, such as the pan flute, the piano, and the uilleann pipes.

We are invited "Into the Jungle" with the namesake track, to look at the sun behind the trees in "Rainforest", while the rain stops slowly, and to enjoy the rest of the day with "Evening", with influences from rock and calming atmospheres that follow the track.

Because life is simply beautiful, the album contains a track called just that: "Simply Beautiful". It has a very deep message, written all over the soft and gentle melody playing along. It makes us think and enjoy the simple pleasures of life, like music.

The last track of the album is a slower mix of "Arenas Blancas", entitled the Sunset Mix, that is basically a reminder of the beginning of the album, and perhaps a temptation to play it again and again!

Arriving a good 6 months after the LT029.5 album sampler which debuted both Soms and In My Dreams, nthng adds another seven hazy, hooded techno bangers to those to make up a pretty dazzling body of work. 

Opener 'Touches' is true ambient bliss, with shrouded, blissful synths fuzzing into view and cut through by a soft low distant sunlight. 

Both Galaxy and Eternal thump into view with a hi-paced drums colliding and clashing with syncopated stabs and smooth dusty baselines, recalling the tender techno-trance precipice danced by Dutch producers at the start of the 90's. 

The huge mysterious fan favourite and title track It Never Ends gets it's pride of place with 9 mins of deep, cavernous techno, all rippling with epic string-synths and washes of mountainous reverb. 

Even deeper numbers are extracted from the hard-drive, including the pensively, digitally-bubbling computer jam Unity sitting tidily alongside the super deep and subtle rolls of Abyss. 

Rounding the album out is the appropriately-titled Last. A dark, shimmering, almost emotionless number that cements a different idea of the future. A hard, pounding, yelping, depth-charged technoid closer. 

For us, the album feels like a real masterpiece, conjuring a spectrum of intimate and emotive moods, feelings and nostalgia-tinged memories that float into the mind, like the settling fog in the valley on a crisp winters morning.

Spektre are back on home turf once again, with a sinister two-tracker.

'Carnival Of Souls' sets the scene with the relentless bang of their trademark heavy kick drum. Opening with a dark and eerie atmosphere that appropriately matches the title, the lead synths develop into uplifting euphoria, as the tracks mood transforms in the breakdown.

Second of the two original tracks 'Land Of Strays' has a building tension with fluttering synths. The powerful vocal also lifts the track and provides great contrast with the growling tones of the ominous bassline. Undeniably a peak time cut of dancefloor focused techno, this is a spark to light anyone's fire.

Track three is SAMA's remix of 'Carnival Of Souls' which is a refined version of the original with the addition of his own grinding bass stabs and thinned kick drum to allow more focus on the synth parts. Keeping all of the originals energy, it has all of the same charm but with added depth for those who like things a touch deeper.

Finishing the EP is D-Unity's remix of 'Land Of Strays' and stripping away many of the originals synths it's a percussion lead alternate version. Using the vocal and only short bursts of synths, this darker version has more ferocity to it, and will no doubt be a favourite with those who play a harder style of techno.

Paul Hazendonk returns on his own Manual Music imprint with the final part of his Signature Series trilogy. Yet again presenting two brand new originals that cross over between various genres within the melodic electronic music spectrum.

First up it's 'Unagi', a massive and intense peak time dance floor bomb that will leave you with the feeling that you've been slapped in the face... in a good way! Paul's trademark arps build up the tension towards a roaring ravey bassline only to revert back to emo mode during the beautiful piano break until it's all systems go again. Proper madness this one!

The accompanying piece 'X Is Forever' is a more heady and intelligent piece. Starting out with a minimalistic arrangement and wobbly bassline, a mysterious vocal gets introduced early on which turns out to be the trademark element of this song. Of course the ever present arps make their introduction as the track gently builds on towards it's climax. A lovely piece of work to end the Signature Series trilogy!
