American organist Weston Jennings is quickly establishing himself as a talented and engaging international performer. Having first encountered the pipe organ at the Interlochen Summer Arts Camp (Michigan) at age 16, he went on to graduate from the Interlochen Arts Academy. At the Eastman School of Music, Weston earned his Bachelor of Music Degree and the prestigious Performer’s Certificate. He currently studies with Ben van Oosten and his former organ teachers include Michel Bouvard, Hans Davidsson, David Higgs, and Thomas Bara. Following his recital debut at The Kennedy Center (Washington, DC) in 2009, he has performed across the United States and Europe, including Saint Thomas Church Fifth Avenue (New York); The Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels (Los Angeles); The Cathedral Basilica of the Immaculate Conception (Denver); and the Berliner Dom (Germany). Weston has served on the faculty of the Interlochen Summer Arts Camp and The King’s School, Canterbury, as well as taught and performed at Pipe Organ Encounters. Following a year as Organ Scholar of Canterbury Cathedral, he is now the Graham Rogers Organ Scholar of Chelmsford Cathedral. Additionally, he is also the Royal Festival Hall’s very first Organ Scholar. This season’s engagements include Westminster Abbey; Princeton University Chapel, Westminster Central Hall; Royal Festival Hall; and the London Handel Festival.
