For over 10 years SYXX has been a force in the darker, heavier side of the Dubstep and was formerly a Biscuit Factory records member (RIP Walsh), known for his intense, shadowy soundscapes and commanding basslines. He forged a reputation that extends across platforms like ESPN and labels like Slimzos and Wheel & Deal Records. He is not just a producer; he’s a drummer and DJ whose sets focus on technical mixing and crowd impact. With a slate of new releases on the way, his music speaks to true Dubstep fans who crave raw, immersive experiences, SYXX is one to watch in 2025 and beyond.

HYDRA RADIO VOLUME XXVIII | SYXX

Hori Glory is the bass-heavy brainchild of Jackson Kerr, a true dub enthusiast who's been championing dubwise sounds across the psytrance and bass scenes for years. 

Born in Aotearoa (New Zealand) and now residing in Eora (Sydney AU), he's known for delivering phat, wobbling basslines infused with grimey undertones and reggae-drenched, dubby mixes, his sets are a wild ride of energy and good vibes.

Having graced stages at events like Soliq Records Bush Birthday Party, Basscamp 2022, Magnum Opus Initiation, Midnight Journey, SHOOK Thursdays, Psyheads, Levitate, Genesis, Interdimensional Solutions, Sunrise Gathering, Rhythmic Picnic, and Newy Bass Crew's Dreadful, as well as featuring on Orbital Radio's Cabin Fever Sessions and in Subjective Eora's guest mix series, Hori Glory has earned his reputation as a crowd favourite all over NSW.

He has started exploring music production, dropping some killer tracks with plenty more in the pipeline.

Galvanizing over 40 years of friendship, over 20 years of music and touring together, no less than around five different aliases and countless musical inspirations from around the world, Tina Tokio is the zenith of Muadeep and FxFarmer’s art so far. 

Their expressions, ideas, passions and energy all wrapped up in a twisted bolt of tribalistic 140 fury.

It’s percussive, it’s full of surprises, it’s laced with intoxicating humanised elements. Cries, chants, shouts and grunts are all weaved intricately into tight pulsating patterns of toms, hangdrums, bongos and cowbells while necksnap breakbeats as the pair explore their shared sonic vision.

It’s a vision that can be dated back to the early 2000s when the pair of them (and another old friend Uwe) formed Funkanomics, a ghettofunk troupe who toured the world with a sound that was whipping parties into frenzies for years but hasn’t matured quite so well as other genres have.

Various iterations and aliases later, Patric Muadeep and Daniel FxFarmer have rekindled that groove with a much more sinister, deeper, hypnotic and technoid way. It’s a sound that’s already been supported by French culture connoisseurs Studio and long time underground champions Flexout. It’s a sound you can hear right here in this crucial mix.

Newy Bass Crew, established to foster a community focused on love, inclusivity, equality, diversity, authenticity, and the unrestrained freedom of self-expression in Australia’s Hunter Region and beyond. Shining a light on talents in rural areas, celebrating the connection between music and nature.
Launched in late 2021, the crew comprises of a plethora of DJs from the region.
