The track “Smokin’ Love” opens with swirling piano chords, catchy lyrics highlighting the band’s signature dub sound. The track details multi-instrumentalist, producer and singer Scott Woodruff’s upbeat narrative of wanting to smoke with the one he loves, highlighted in the lyrics:

“I wanna get high, I wanna get low, come on I wanna smoke little spliff with you / Lord knows I’m not a fool, I’m just crazy for you.”

“Smokin’ Love” was recorded the same way as all their songs; in Woodruff’s home studio with each instrument individually recorded and layered in unison to one other. The band has previewed the track through their social media sites and have recently started playing it live.

‘Taste Victory’ is his first recording for the UK based Entertainment Soul label, it’s a melody brimming with idealism for the future, whilst considering the truth of a harsh past. The video stylishly portrays this by depicting the reggae star as a boxer, who is staged in the ring to battle with his negative past self. Of course, the star is victorious and the sweet refrain is sung over & again, “..now I can taste victory..”
As with many great songs, it’s literal interpretation could go many ways. Nesbeth himself chose to use this visual angle to give encouragement to those that live with self doubt, that personal achievement is often only held back by this negative internal struggle and that it must be overcome to fully flourish. It is surely workable for all and in case you’re regularly thinking that it’s a hard journey, simply recall  the quote – “The hotter the battle, the sweeter the victory!”

MOSCOW017 sees Archie Hamilton release his first solo EP on the label since its creation, five years ago.

The opening track was written at the end of a summer season spent in Ibiza’s Cala Vadella. Intricate bass, percussion and emotive tones capture the mystery of this beautiful part of the island, putting the listener into a hypnotic state over it’s 12 minute journey.

Contrarily, 21514 was written in the UK during the spring (the clue is in the title...). Micro house percussion is paired with dreamy synths and growling bass in perfect harmony to create 7 minutes of wonder.

Romania’s Priku lends a hand on the remix, adding a sense of dance floor aggression but without loosing the original character of the track.

The two track 'Evolutions' Ep sees Enzo Siragusa and Alexkid each give us their own personal take on the infamous Kilimanjaro sound. Label head Enzo once again fuses his junglist past with sleek tech beats on the A side in the form of Desire skippy percussion imbuing the track with a real sense of funk before a monster 90s style b-line cuts through the mix to really nail the floor.

Alexkid steps up with his trademark dubby style on the flipside with Wear Your Cape, razor sharp percussion and a cavernous bass taking the track to deliciously lofty heights. Both tracks are logical progressions from the notorious Kilimanj
