Paul S a.k.a Paul AtNight grew up in Brazil and developed a taste for electronic music in his mid-teens when the genre was really beginning to take flame on the world stage. For many years he followed leading artists in the field with great admiration, and in 1995, he began his extensive career in the music industry working at an FM - Radio and Recording Studio in Brazil as a music programmer. In 1996, he began his career as a DJ playing at various festivals and clubs in and around São Paulo until moving to Nagoya, Japan after at the turn of the century.
Paul S has played for many years in Nagoya, as well as in Tokyo and a couple of other cities in Japan. He has played at several big parties in Nagoya, as a The Sexy by NagMag from 2011~. In 2010 he played with top DJs in the European-based Ministry of Sound. Currently, Paul S is the resident DJ of Sound Machine Nagoya, a group that sponsors many popular parties such as Feel the Music, So Hot, The Vibe, and Party UP.
Although he admires a wide range of musical styles, from classic Bossa Nova and Salsa to Reggaeton, HipHop, R&B and Trance, Paul S keeps his personal style in line with EDM / Progressive House and Electro House. He values honesty and responsibility in his work and maintains a high level of professionalism, but this doesn’t dampen the charisma in his beats as he keeps the music lively and full of energy! Best thing about doing what he does? “Mixing music, and see everyone dancing and having fun on the dance floor!”
