40 днів тому я лишився дому. Звісно, мова йде не про той, де ти маєш документи, а той, де прихистилась твоя душа. Після понад 10 років блукань я нарешті знайшов таке місце. Рідний дім, немов твердий ґрунт під ногами - по ньому кроки семимильні, лише випрям крила. Доля розпорядилася так, що я провів там лише рік, і ось знову повертаюсь до блукань та пошуків.
Через дії російських загарбників подібна доля випала багатьом українцям: хтось втратив юридичний дім, а хтось - життя. Таке жахіття важко нафантазувати, важко уявити навіть уві сні. Інколи я йду по вулиці й мені здається наче все це нереальне. Такого не повинно бути. Я закрию очі, задрімаю, прокинусь вдома… 
Але реалії такі: якщо ти бачиш це - ти пережив 40 днів війни. На чужбині або вдома, без різниці, ти вже це зробив. Я вже не знаю, чи є там той дім насправді. Є життя. 
Alive in the War Dust був написаний 3 тижні тому. Буча, Ірпінь, Гостомель, Харьків, Мелітополь, Маріуполь. І це краплина в морі військового попелу. На передньому плані ти можеш почути діалог пари, яка їхала повз київську телевишку недалеко від того дому. На задньому - душі. На обкладинці - Маріуполь, точніше те, що від нього залишилося.
