Characters Representing: Jack and Elmo & Donkey Kong

This one is a doozy. This rip was the most nostalgic and one of the most hard-working piece I've ever done for the project. This originally was called "Teacher's Pet / Monkey Business" before I found it what the former song was actually called. This was actually the second, or third, song I ever claimed for King For Another Day and my first-ever dual rip claimed. 

I intended for this to have vocals in the beginning, having myself and two others to act out as Jack Black, Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong, with modified lyrics, such as "And then that Cranky Kong said to obey / Do what Cranky Kong do, say what Cranky Kong say", and "I might not be that perfect Kong / But y'all be rockin' all night long!", but then decided that would be too much trouble and went with synths to replace the vocals. Also, if you listen closely during the part with "Zack's guitar solo", you can hear that I slightly included the melody of the main Donkey Kong Country TV show theme song's chorus.

In a release standpoint, I was called upon to work on the piece before the voting deadline because their matchup was going on. Just in the knick of time, I finished it before 2 hours of voting and submitted it. Sadly, no one got to it as voting closed and the results were shown. A community member stated in a top comment that the dual rip was way overdue when it was released, but I'm blessed enough that it was accepted and uploaded to begin with. Nonetheless, another one was happy for my rip helping them revisit their childhood, which I responded to in appreciation which made me feel a lot better. And we all lived happily ever after...

Little known fact, I was the first (within the team, at least) to recommend Jack Black to be a contender on King For Another Day, and as you could've known, I was pretty excited, especially since he was pairing with Elmo. He was a top 5 favorite of mine, the others (besides Prfessor K, obviously) you can figure out yourself. 😉
