The minor chord progressions and the key of G# minor add a touch of melancholy, while the diverse instruments contribute to a complex sonic texture. My intention was to create a musical narrative arc that guides the listener through an emotional journey from calm and introspection to intensity and, ultimately, to peace and reconnection.

At the end of the creative process, I felt that "Sunset Serenity" managed to capture the essence of the transitional and reflective moment I wanted to convey. I began this composition with the desire to reflect the grandeur and delicacy of nature. The first chords are supported by a violin, followed by an electronic organ, which, through an autotune effect, transitions into the deep sounds of the French horn and back. Here, the glockenspiel(a metalophone with bright, bell-like tones) plays an essential role, adding a note of clarity and purity, like a breeze that brings peace and hope. This initial part symbolizes the beginning of an inner journey, a moment of reflection and peace.

Cultural Exploration

As the melody evolves, I integrated various sonic elements to symbolize the meeting of cultures. The European dulcimer, played electronically in the first part, suggests a connection to Western traditions, while the synthesizer adds a layer of modernity and innovation. As we approach the end of the piece, I wanted to capture the cultural richness of the East by introducing traditional Chinese instruments such as the Yangqin (Chinese Dulcimer), Erhu (Chinese violin, aka Chinese 2-string fiddle), and DiZi (Chinese bamboo flute in D major). These not only add another layer of texture but also transform the melody into an ode to global unity.

Another aspect I wanted to highlight is the continuity between East and West, past and present. This is why instruments like the violin and glockenspiel in the first part gradually make way for the Erhu and Yangqin, marking a natural transition between styles and cultures. I then added female voices that complement this chant in a choral manner, alternating with the male voice. This alternation creates a sort of dialogue, but one based not on words, but on pure emotion. The vocalizations are meant to convey nuances of feeling, to shape a subtle interaction between masculine and feminine energy, like a dance between two entities seeking and completing each other.

I didn’t want to limit this conversation to ordinary language, so I chose to let the music and voices communicate in an abstract way, offering each listener the freedom to interpret the meaning of this dialogue. Without words, the chant takes on a universal dimension, accessible to anyone, regardless of language or culture.

When I composed this piece, I wanted to create a bridge between the past and the present, between ancient traditions and the modern soul. Each note and rhythm was carefully chosen to transport the listener into a state of deep tranquility, where time seems to stand still. At the same time, I intended for this piece to be a lament of sorrow, a cry of grief that brings comfort to those facing loss and sadness.

I chose Quenya over Sindarin or any other Elvish languages because Quenya is the language of the High Elves, those who lived in the blessed realm of Valinor, closest to the divine. It carries with it a sense of purity, timelessness, and a deep connection to the origins of Elven culture. Quenya’s lyrical and ancient beauty felt like the perfect medium to express the ethereal and almost sacred nature of this lament. Unlike Sindarin, which is more commonly spoken in Middle-earth and has a more earthly tone, Quenya evokes a world of fantasy, filled with mystery and nostalgia, adding a timeless dimension to this creation. The female voice, echoing as if from another world, is meant to soothe and provide solace, while the traditional instruments, such as the cithern, add an organic, almost ritualistic texture.

I wanted the listener to feel enveloped by an inner warmth, a light that guides them through a chaotic world. This piece is an invitation to introspection, a chance to lose oneself in thought and find a moment of peace amidst the tumult of daily life. I composed this piece with the intention of drawing attention to how aggressive industrialization and global conflicts can erode not only the environment but also the very essence of humanity.

From the opening chords, the anthemic rhythm, present throughout the composition, evokes a grave and dramatic sense, symbolizing the ineluctable march toward destruction. It is a march of steel, of heavy machinery dominating battlefields and industrialized cities, but also of a humanity losing control. The rhythm becomes a call — a call for all of us to reflect on the path we are heading down. It is a lament for the loss of balance, a testimony to how technology has supplanted nature, and how unchecked development drives us toward a tragic end.

As the melody progresses, the weighty, intense tones of metal and synthesizers intertwine with more organic motifs, such as nature's roots beginning to wrap around the metal structures, symbolizing a return to a primordial state, a need to reconnect with nature. This piece is meant to serve not only as a requiem for the world we are on the verge of losing but also as a manifesto for the necessary change. It is time to acknowledge the devastating effects of war and pollution and to return to balance before it is too late.

Requiem Of The Chanting Steel

"Amore Mio" is a composition born out of a desire to pay homage to the African continent and the rich culture that inspired it. With this song, I aimed to create a musical dialogue between African tradition and modern influences, blending styles like Afro House, Pop, and R&B. Every musical and lyrical element was carefully chosen to convey a warm, romantic, and sensual atmosphere that accompanies the central theme of the song: love.

The structure of the lyrics is a journey through various African languages, symbolizing the unity and diversity of this continent. In the first verse, written in Swahili, I wanted to capture the solar energy and vibrant spirit of East Africa, inviting listeners on a journey filled with light and love. The second verse, in Xhosa, brings dance and movement, evoking the power and grace of South African culture, with a vibe that celebrates life. The third verse, in Zulu, continues this energy, delivering a message of joy and unity, reflecting the communal spirit that defines African life.

The repetitive chorus, “Amore Mio,” serves as a leitmotif, a universal declaration of love, connecting the song's heart with a sense of passion and romance. Whether it's love for a person or for Africa itself, this simple and catchy refrain carries a deep message: love transcends boundaries and is expressed through the universal language of music.

Instrumentally, I chose a combination of acoustic guitar and percussion, which are present throughout the composition, maintaining an organic and authentic sound, close to African roots. Adding synthesizers, electronic drums, and modern R&B and Pop influences brings a contemporary touch, creating a perfect balance between tradition and modernity. 

The overall mood of the song is chill, relaxing, and positive, with a romantic energy, designed to evoke a sense of well-being, peace, and joy. I wanted listeners to feel transported to a warm and welcoming world, one where love and African culture blend seamlessly.

Through this composition, "Amore Mio" becomes an ode to African culture, a celebration of this extraordinary continent's beauty, diversity, and emotional richness. Africa is my source of inspiration, and through this music, I want to pay tribute to its places, languages, and vibrant soul.

Nibriell is the pseudonym under which I sign my musical and literary works. I was born in Romania, a beautiful country in Eastern Europe, but I also live in the UK. For personal reasons and symbolism, the pseudonym is inspired by the names Saint Nicholas (Ni) and Archangel Gabriel (briell). 

     As for my musical activity, I do not define myself through traditional terms such as artist, musician, or composer, but rather as a music creator. This term is much more suitable for my musical activity. I have only one regret: not being born with the talent to sing or possess a musical voice. 

     However, my passions for music and literature have been cultivated with interest throughout my life. With the advent of AI in our lives, it has been very successful in producing high-quality vocalizations, which instantly encouraged me to start creating melodies. 

     Therefore, in my creative workshop, DAW software, music editing, and AI technology are the tools through which I express my vision. By using AI to generate the distinctive voice of my pieces and recreate the sounds specific to traditional or archaic instruments, I bring to life the stories I present to you. 

     My entire creation, from one end to the other, tries to tell a story, whatever it may be. From myths and legends worldwide to stories I create, they are dressed in melodies and harmonies that exceed language and culture, touching a universal chord of human emotion. With each composition, my goal is to open a window to imaginary worlds, inviting the listener to explore ancestral myths, personal narratives, or those already existing worldwide. 

     Using a mix of modern sounds and traditional elements, I aim to create a bridge between the past and the present, between the real and the fantastic, offering the listener an auditory experience and an emotional and spiritual journey.

     So, Nibriell is the pseudonym that unites all these creative sides and expresses the desire to create and the belief that art, in all its forms, is a vehicle for understanding, compassion, and connection among people, regardless of their origins or borders. This is the path I have chosen to follow, one in which every note and word contributes to creating a more extensive work of all humanity, an ode to the beauty and complexity of life.

     Although AI plays an essential and decisive role in my work, it does not define its direction or quality at all. I entirely write the texts and melodic lines, and the voice generated by it is the product of my strict vision and supervision.
