Yoel Ay -Biographie- English-
DJ Yoel became well-known with his first 12-inch-production “Die Kunst des Machen” with four tracks having unique names, showing implicitly the depth and breadth of his thinking. These four versatile tracks “Nachtrausch”, “Kindermusik”, “Hochfrequenz” and “Alter Stil” became a secret-tip and were played by famous german Techno-DJ`s. This record published by “Hometown Music” was sold out successfully in Germany within month. DJ Hell played exclusive in New York.
Another breaktrough comes with DJ Yoels`s second 12-inch-production “Kraft elektronischer Musik” containing four fascinating sonorously track-names “Treiben”, “Verzerrung”, “Druckventil” and “Stahlwerk”. The second editon reflects his unique taste of music. This new dimension of electronic sound given a lot of enthusiasm and inspiration were highly esteemed. The record was played by famous international DJ`s. For example, DJ Westbam played “Kraft elektronischer Musik” in Mayday 2003.
Since 1992 DJ Yoel has devoted a lot of time in the world of electronic music. DJ     Yoel describes music as a symbiosis of body and soul and as an healing instrument representing remedy for mankind. He describes all kind of honest music as effective weapons against any negative things in life. Besides, life would be boring without music. This Imagination of music reflects DJ Yoel’s profundity and responsibility to do honest music.
In January 2001, Yoel has set up his own label called “Monoton City Records” with the duty to unite other artists taking part of the attitude about his definition of music.
“Doppel – Face 01” is a duet between DJ Patrick Squires and DJ Yoel. This third record contains tracks such as “Faktor Y” and “Outworld”, “Anything” and “Blues”. DJ Yoel presented his records in Clubs and Discos in Germany, Spain, Swiss, France. For example, DJ Yoel respresented his record in one of the biggest discotheques in France known as Macumba. He does DJ-Sets in Swiss`s „Zukunftsfabrik Münchwilen“. DJ Yoel has regularly DJ Sets in „Mahagonie Bar“ in Augsburg. The discotheque is well-visited when DJ Yoel is on turntable and represent the sound of „IBIZA HOUSE CLUB“.
For getting more authenticity as a producer and artist in the new generation, my full name Yoel Ay will represent future performances and productions.
In future, DJ Yoel will publish his first Album as CD. Many DJ-Sets and new production will come.

Deutsche Biographie

„Elektronische Musik zu spielen reicht nicht, sie muss gelebt werden. Für mich ist sie Lebensgefühl, Taktgeber der Inspiration für künstlerisches Denken.“

Nicc Andersson, kam 1976 unter dem bürgerlichen Namen Karsten Ott in einem nicht nennenswerten Vorort von Chemnitz im Osten Deutschlands auf die Welt. Kurz nach dem Fall der Berliner Mauer kommt er 1989 als fast 14 Jähriger mit elektronischer Musik durch die erste Love Parade in Berlin in Verbindung. Zur Zeit des kalten Krieges verboten und als „Musik des Klassenfeindes“ betitelt, brachte sie jetzt zweierlei Völker wieder zusammen.

Andersson spürte die Kraft der Musik und ließ keine Möglichkeit mehr aus, diese zu (er)leben. Der Umzug nach Augsburg 1996 brachte ihn in die wirklich angesagten Clubs im Süden Deutschlands mit interessanten und einflussreichen Kennern der Szene zusammen. Locations wie PLEASURE DOME, INFRAROT, ÜBERNACHT, NATRASH TEMPLE, ULTRASCHALL sind nur die Wichtigsten, in denen NIcc‘s Nächte zum Tag wurden.

Andersson pflegt Kontakte zu Augsburger DJ-Lokal-Größen wie Andreas Rauscher, Caruno, Arno F., Yoel Ay. Diese brachten ihn 2007 selbst nicht nur an die Regler, sondern auch ans Produktions-Pult. Er siedelt seinen Stil irgendwo zwischen Minimal Tech und geradlinigem Techno mit Einschlägen von Detroit an. 

Die derzeitige Kooperation mit Miss Shiva aus Frankfurt / Main brachte im Januar 2011 das erfolgsversprechendste Projekt „FFM Techno Divison“ an den Start, welches in einer regelmäßigen Podcast Show mündet.

Erste Track Veröffentlichungen sind für das Jahr 2012 angedacht.


English Bio

„You can’t just play electronic music ... you have to feel it, experience it, internalize it – live it. For me electronic music is a way of living, the drumbeat for my creativity and  artistic side in me.“
 
Nicc Andersson was born in 1976 as Karsten Ott in a small town just outside of Chemnitz in East Germany. At 14 year old, immediately after the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989, he has his first experience with electronic music at the Love Parade in Berlin. At the time of the cold war this type of music was banned as „music of the enemy“ in the eastern part of the country. Now it was there to help re-connect the separated german people.
 
Andersson felt the power and inspiration of the music and didn’t let a chance go by to fully experience it. He moved to Augsburg in the southern part of Germany in Bavaria in 1996. He frequented scene clubs and met influental musicians. Locations such as PLEASURE DOME, INFRAROT, UEBERNACHT, NATRASH TEMPLE, ULTRASCHALL  are some of the clubs where night turned to day for Nicc.
 
Andersson stayed in close contact with well known local Augsburg DJ’s such as Andreas Rauscher, Caruno, Arno F. Yoel Ay. In 2007 he found himself not only at the mixing pult, but also in the production studio. His inspiration is to not only make his own music, but also to produce it. He defines his style as somewhere between Minimal Techno and Techno with Detroit influences.
 
His current work with Miss Shiva from Frankfurt / Main resulted in a very promising Podcast project in january of 2011, „FFM Techno Division“.
 
First tracks are due to be released to the public in 2012.
