After the success of his first LP supported by prominent music institutions such as KCRW or Rolling Stone, Hector Gachan, based in Edinburgh, comes back with a sophomore album Care 2 Share. He releases today a new single: ‘Tell Me I’m Here’, made of a clean folk guitar riff that accompanies his hopeful lyrics. As an ode to being carefree, 'Tell Me I'm Here' erases the borders of time, and provides a way for the listener to enlarge his perspectives and embrace the uncertainty of life. Hector Gachan is a Bosnian-Australian multi-instrumentalist and songwriter. After receiving support from the indie music world (Rolling Stone, KCRW, Triple R…) for Untitled ’91, he is about to release his second long player Care 2 Share. The next single extracted from it, ‘Electric Company’ has a retro feel to it with it’s bouncy synths and bassline. Through dreamy vocals that send hopeful and resilient waves, the result is an electrifying groove that will stick to your feet and spirit to help you push through the day.

Hector Gachan is a Bosnian Australian musician currently based in Edinburgh. His debut LP “Untitled ’91” released in the winter of 2017 cultivated a cult following from around the world. Since then he has gradually worked on his sophomore LP “Care 2 Share”. The eponymous track & second single of this album is out today!

“Care 2 Share” is a clever mix of synthesizers and guitar riffs that create a mellow Indie-Pop ballad. The main guitar riff is something that Hector had originally written 10 years ago after first hearing legendary tracks like “Footsteps in the Dark” by The Isley Brothers and “Hung up on my Baby” by Isaac Hayes.

Hector Gachan is back to the Nice Guys family with his sophomore album Care 2 Share. The first introduction to this exciting release is ’Asking For A Friend’. The Bosnian singer now living in Edinburgh mentions the struggles of loneliness and homesickness under the cover of pop-like synths, and a catchy rhythm that turns sorrow in a sweet and sour dream. It’s funny how all the demos we’ve accumulated can change over time ... Sometimes the early versions & rough mixes that stick out the most now didn’t when we were making them, as is the case with ‘Habits’. 

We originally bounced this mix when we were still working on overdubs, but then we lost the project file after Chris spilled a bunch of coffee on his laptop.  We rediscovered this version while sifting through demos one night at our house a couple months later.

If we could reopen that file, I’m sure we’d find some shitty preset sounds, a guitar amp simulator on the vocal track, and tons of crude, approximate EQ and compression.   If we still had the Logic file, we'd probably want to change and rerecord a bunch of stuff.  In a way we’re thankful that this particular track is frozen in time, because if we had a chance to dive back into it, I’m not sure we’d be able to get into the right headspace to improve on it.  

After the coffee spill we started backing up all our files to de cloud, and we'll probably continue to exhaustively revise our current projects, but just this once it’s kinda nice to release something we never got the chance to split hairs over. 

“Habits" is the first song we’ve released where Chris (keyboard + guitar) sings lead vocals.  It's the first song off Loosies, a collection of demo versions & B-sides from the sessions for the Baby Blue Suede EP that came out last year.  Loosies is out 2/16, along with a deluxe cassette from Invertebrate Music.
