Joy of the highest order! Saiko no yorokobi! Spit out of San Francisco by big money techie scum and landed in the Rocky Mountains with nothing but an 8 track & a guitar. Fresh air! Back to basics- third verse same as the first.  Give it all back, joy belongs to all!  SUPREME JOY.

Julie was one of the first songs that I wrote after I moved out of SF.  One of those tunes that just come all at once- first thought best thought. On a quick trip back to the Bay I assembled a rag tag team of players to record.  This one we nailed in the first few takes. There isn't a specific person I'm talking about here, it's just looking back.  A "see ya later" to SF I suppose.

Santa Selva is Marquee Micozzi and Hamilton Blacket’s collaborative project. They first crossed paths in 2012 when Ham went to Marquee’s house in Argentina as his sister's new boyfriend. The now brothers-in-law and best friends are debuting their joint project together after years of collaborating and featuring in each other's separate bands. The essence is in the name, Santa Selva, which means Holy Jungle - a space for exploration, fun, the breaking of boundaries. 

"In The Morning" is the debut single from Australian Psych Pop band Santa Selva. Self-produced and recorded in the hills of Byron Bay Australia by brothers in law Marcos Micozzi and Ham Blacket, the track "In The Morning" is a ballad of long-distance love and the precious moments that keep it alive. With its dreamy soaring synth hook, driving beat and bassline, and heartfelt lyrics, the song leaves you feeling warm, fuzzy, and euphoric.
