Mathias Modica’s "Sonic Rohstoff" is the new album on Kryptox Music. 

Sonic Rohstoff  is a journey through abstract downtempo vibes, lo-fi jazz and futuristic electronica. This is Modica’s first album under his own name, following three albums under his monikers Kapote and Munk. All instruments are performed by Modica himself, embellished by guest musicians from the new Berlin Jazz scene.

Amalgama Music is back with an e.p. from Nottingham Broken Beat producer, Cyclonix.  We return to our Broken Beat roots with this release that showcases all the different flavors the genre is known for and has morphed into. Staying true to his love for all things Bruk, Jazz, Techno and bass, Cyclonix delivers 5 tracks that showcase his versatility in syncopated rhythms, as well as straight up 4 to the floor business. The highlight of the release is “Churches”, which is the soundtrack to a Sunny day with its melody driven by warm Rhodes chords and shifty beat. Miami producer, SomeJerk , steps somewhat out of his Footwork/Jungle element and delivers a remix of “Churches” that is as beautiful as the original and very much true to the sound that he is known for. 

“So Crazy” was especially made for the rebrand of Amalgama and is a Techno Broken Beat number that is fueled by its driving Toms, metallic synth, and bleeps, that reminds the listener to crank up the volume. In “Thrax” Cyclonix delivers a slow techno burner that gradually churns into a hypnotic dancefloor groover. In all the EP is a true testament to the diversity of Cyclonix and Amalgama.
