This song was inspired by the TV show Yellowjackets, specifically the character Lottie Matthews. As the series progresses, Lottie begins to see and hear things that no one else can, blurring the lines between what is reality and what is delusion. We found that perspective very interesting—the idea of experiencing something so intensely real while those around you dismiss or ignore it. It’s a theme that resonates beyond the show, reflecting real-life situations where people struggle to be heard or believed when they’re going through something invisible to others around them.

Mr. Brightside by The Killers is one of my favorite songs, so I decided to make it into a piano ballad. It gives the song a whole new meaning! Instead of frantic jealousy, my version is more reflective and heartbreaking. I hope you enjoy my song!
