The second track from my sophomore LP "Glass Orchid"

"Old school" sounding dubstep - Doctor P & Flux Pavilion has always been my favorite. I remember being in high school in 2010 and listening to the UKF compilation on YouTube and it literally changed my life. Since then that style has continued to resonate with me - and I finally wanted to dip my toes in creating stuff in that realm, but with my own modern twist on it.

This song uses a similar structure as my track with Sully from my last album “WILD” and I really enjoy how it gets right to the point and keeps the energy at full blast the entire time. Be on the lookout for more in this vein..

The tenth track from my sophomore LP "Glass Orchid"

* iSorin has been one of my fav wave producers for half a decade. When I heard his ambient album “Neon Tundra” I knew I wanted to remix one of the songs.
* His album has almost no drums, no drops, just incredible melodies and soundscapes.
* I was on vacation after my Periphery tour, sitting with my wife watching a thunderstorm over the Pacific Ocean with all the lights out and we had this album playing. We heard dark winter and I felt something deep in my core want to turn it into a powerful dubstep tune
* 130 bpm instead of 140, thats the key to a lot of this album
* Big incredible drop after such a long build
* Downtempo massive sub outro 
* What it feels like to have pure energy in your soul
* Reminds me of the color blue

Me and Flozone first wrote a 140bpm version of this song for live use only, its 3 buildups and 3 drops - been playing it for almost 4 years now. We decided to completely revamp the tune, create a 150bpm version that had a longer, more epic intro and use it to start sets with

I still play both in my sets, and you might recognize the 140bpm more than this version. Super stoked how it came out, and I even did a live-only version of the 150bpm one that has a third drop

The ninth track from my sophomore LP "Glass Orchid"

* Me and dream signal met after my show in Tampa, he showed me his song in the crowd after the show. Normally not always the best outcome like that but it worked! After that we made a collab on Periphery called Dissolve and he joined me for In The Nest and 3-4 tour stops
* He sent me DONT YOU and I immediately loved it but wanted to put my own touch on it. 
* I slowed it down, redid the drums, put in more FX and vocals, and removed some of the synths to make it a big slow churner rather than the 150bpm energetic version he created
* I basically wanted to make it slower and more euphoric but keep like 85% of the original since it was so good already! Very happy with how it turned out
* He’s a very underrated producer so plz go check him out

Dream Signal - DON'T YOU (RAVENSCOON Remix)

The fourth track from my sophomore LP "Glass Orchid"

Still in the realm of old school dubstep, I wanted to combine some of my more melodic elements with that 2010/2012 sound. I actually took a sound design lesson from the legend VCTRE so I could improve my harmonic bass design that I used in this track. 

I slowed it all the way to 130bpm, which gives it more bounce rather than headbang energy. The three drops are distinct, increasing in energy until they climax in a zeds dead style final drop. 

Once I finished the instrumental I knew that it was lacking vocals, so I tapped the legendary Al Kapone (who I collaborated with on my last album, GO!) to add some fun positive energy
