Liz Torres has one of those voices that make so much sense in a sweaty nightclub at 4am. Pure filth but with a sensuality that instigates all maner of lewd behaviour on the dancefloor!. This is probably my favourite track of hers and for the edit I've used the album version, which for me provides a far deeper journey than the 12' mix.

Also, if your around next weekend, I'm DJing on Saturday 26th March at East Village in Shoreditch. Other DJ's on the night include Matt & Jim from Sancho Panza, Stuart Patterson and Freddy Love so it should be a fine evening indeed.

Correspondants 28th release, Polina, delivers another brooding, evocative EP for the label, this time from the Agents of Time polyhedron: a fusion of ideas and concepts that make up a single reality. The Italian trio of Andrea Di Ceglie, Fedele Ladisa, and Luigi Tutolo came together in the summer of 2013, and their inaugural album was released via Stem Records in January of the following year. The group uses both analog and digital equipment to refine their unique amalgam of progressive, techno, and ambient music.

Systematic are gearing up to release the 100th EP on the label and who better to take the reigns than Romboy and Bodzin. We have the premiere of the title track and 'Kerberos' is exactly what you'd expect from the titans of techno.

'Kerberos' is a hypnotic and driving cut, one that progresses and builds with precision and underlying menace. Its melodies intertwine from the first beat and it couldn't sum up the Systematic ethos better.

We move into Hour 2 and for our 25th Anniversary we encouraged guests to deliver something different. This week Luke Vibert (who has appeared many times on the show) does exactly that with a high octane opening section showcasing the edit kings from the late eighties. Often found on the b-side of club records, editors such as Omar Santana, Carlos Berrios,  Chep Nunez and the Latin Rascals transformed tracks with quick fire cuts for artists like Rochelle, Corina, Bad Boy Orchestra, Stone and Sweet Sensation who are all featured and we get a Luke Vibert treatment on top. Brand New Funk and Ethel Beatty offer a respite from all this, as well as a sublime gospel track from Pastor TL Barrett, before closing with Omar Souleyman, Tipper and Tomita.

Solid Steel (18th January) This week we feature a mix from Ben UFO celebrating the release of his Fabric Live CD. We kick off with Helm and a new track from Pev & Kowton on the Hessle Audio label that he runs alongside Pearson Sound and Pangaea. Then it's onto the Mark Fell remix for Fennesz, Pairs from the excellent Daphni and a classic Nu Groove cut from N.Y. House'n Authority and a recent Planet E track from Carls Davis.
DK steps up to highlight forthcoming releases from the Ninja Tune family of labels. Big Dada is represented with tracks from new signing Vision, the grandaddy of UK hip hop Roots Manuva and the legendary Dobie. Falty DL features 4 times with tracks off his Hardcourage album on Ninja Tune, his remix of Dobie and remixed by Martyn.
