CLARA MIX 002: CARLOS ESTEBBAN

Spanning a wide range of tempos and moods, Carlos’s sound is rooted in a Balearic sensibility - where groove, feeling, and flow matter more than genre. His sets drift intuitively between warm-up patience and peak-time release, always in service of deep connection with the dancefloor.

Based in Toronto, Carlos has become a trusted presence in the city’s underground scene, playing across clubs, concert venues, and open-air spaces. His approach balances emotional intuition with a steady sense of groove, always tuned to the room.

In 2022, he started Garden Disco. An ongoing exploration of music, community, and creative collaboration. What began as a mix series has grown into a space for parties, listening sessions, and new ideas. It’s loose by design, rooted in good energy and a willingness to plant seeds and see what takes root.

For this mix, Carlos delivers a set that reflects this ethos - blurring borders, holding tension, and offering moments to breathe, sway, and let go.

One thing is for sure: life is thriving in Toronto's undegrounds, with bright sparks of creativity coming from Edan's studio. Beside managing Microforum Vinyl Pressing’s production and quality control with over 15K records per day, Edan finds time to dig through records. Here's a carefully selected selection he put together as he took over the Strangers In The Night series. SHAEL - Live at Proper - APRIL 2025

Nicholas Nothing is anything but nothing… playful, vibrant, and full of passion! He blends deep, soulful, jazzy, and classic house with fresh spunky grooves.

Drawing on his curiosity by exploring a wide range of styles, NN seeks out those lesser-known gems, new and old. He puts his all into every set; meticulously selecting tracks and effortlessly jumping between styles while breathing excitement onto the dancefloor. As a Toronto-based DJ, he’s played at the city’s favourite dance spots alongside the likes of Black Loops, Chaos In The CBD, and Chris Stussy. Internationally, he’s brought his signature sound to clubs and events in the United States, Sweden, and Indonesia. 

In the studio, he draws on inspiration from artists like Mr. G, Dam Swindle, and Frits Wentink, producing tracks that are drenched in soul and groove. His unique sampling style of vocals creates warm atmospheres, lush melodies, and raw rhythmic grooves. He’s deeply influenced by the connective and emotive qualities of nature and infuses earthy and soul-soothing vibes in his music. 

His debut single ‘Recognize’ has received support from Demuja and other local artists. He is running his ‘Rhythmic Roots’ day party event series which sold out for the inaugural party. NN has plans for upcoming gigs and new music released soon. Nicholas Nothing is only just getting started!
