A world where reality warps and sways,
In Loxley’s midst, the end we spied,
Of endless quests where dreams reside.

In verses bent through cryptic rhyme,

To "wake up in" a state that inherently lacks awareness (dreamless sleep) implies simultaneously being conscious (waking) and unconscious (dreamless sleep). This is a contradiction in literal terms, as one cannot logically be both aware (waking) and unaware (in dreamless sleep) at the same time.

The walls symbolise the structures—economic, political, or ideological—that perpetuate inequality, exploitation, and inertia in the face of existential threats like climate collapse and global conflict.

3. The Rose of Jericho: Hope Amidst Adversity

The Rose of Jericho, a symbol of resilience and renewal, offers a fragile counterpoint to the oppressive walls. In a world grappling with ecological devastation, this imagery evokes the earth’s capacity for regeneration, even as human actions push its limits. Yet, "words crumbling to dust" warns of the fragility of hope when it remains unspoken or unacted upon.
The rose also speaks to the persistence of human connection and empathy, even in a time of widespread isolation. As loneliness and alienation grow in the modern world, the rose’s survival becomes a metaphor for the enduring strength of community and compassion, even when buried beneath layers of despair.
