Annie McKinnon is a composer, designer, multi-instrumentalist, and gadget maker. Annie moved to Sydney in 2010 from her hometown Coonabarabran and completed a Bachelor of Sound and Music Design at the University of Technology Sydney in 2012. Since moving to Sydney, Annie has been developing her act as a local singer-songwriter and performer, having supported the likes of Flume, Sticky Fingers, Oh Mercy, Little Bastard, Ngaiire, Papa vs Pretty and The Rubens. So far Annie has released two EP’s, ‘The Endless Run’ and ‘Your Ghost’, both engineered and produced by the multi-talented Sam Brumby. 2015 has seen Annie focus on material for a new album. Throughout 2014 she played samples, electronics, synth and vocals for the critically acclaimed Sydney songstress Caitlin Park. Annie is also a 2015 recipient of The Australian Arts Council 'Artstart' award. As well as being an accomplished musician, Annie has a design practice working on projects with emerging and established companies and artists. These include, dLux Media Arts, Holly Austin, George Khut, Bree van Reyk, and Synergy Percussion.

After several years of traveling as a solo artist in cities around Europe, Australia & New Zealand - supporting such acts as Dustin Tebbutt (AU) and Half Moon Run (CA) - Musketeer has honed a songwriting craft rich with the pictures of the people, the history, and landscapes of those places wandered. 

In 2016, Musketeer formed a base - on stop-over - in the German port city of Hamburg. After releasing a debut entitled ‘Seven Long Years’ at the start of 2017, the singer-songwriter quickly established a band in the Hanseatic city around a handful of folk-songs. 

As well as performing regularly around Europe as a solo act, Musketeer now appears on stage as a fierce four-piece band. 

In 2021 Musketeer will release a second studio EP entitled, ' The North Sea' - This nordic inspired folk-rock record will grate and grind with the beauty and terror of the deep seas.
