Surge 92 is a rising hip hop star known for his unique style and powerful lyrics. Hailing from Johannesburg , Surge 92 honed his skills through years of hard work and dedication, drawing inspiration from classic hip hop as well as modern beats. With a growing following and a string of successful releases, Surge 92 is quickly making a name for himself as one of the genre's most promising new talents.

Explicit earned his stars and stripes as an emcee the good old fashioned way, by taking part in freestyle battles, which earned him the reputation of being one of the best freestyle emcees in the country. Having won 48 out of the 50 battles he competed in, winning titles such as the “Hype Unsigned Showcase” , and the “War with Words Battle 2” along the way .

In April 2008, DJ Fresh commissioned Explicit to start the ‘Weekly News Rap Up', which airs every Friday, repeatedly between 3 and 7pm on the 5fm Fresh Drive . The segment presented the opportunity for Explicit to flex his rhyming skills on a platform that broadcasts to over 1.5 million listeners, and has already proven to be a huge success.

Late in 2007, he released his first solo project an EP titled “My Story Page One”. The EP received an overwhelming response from fans and industry peers alike. In addition to being a significant milestone in his career, the release of his EP has set the platform for his upcoming album presently in early stages of production, with release planned for later this year. The EP featured guest appearances by top SA artists such as Reason, Proverb, Spaceman, Cash, Koli and Prototype .

Certain tracks off the EP have already received a considerable amount of airplay on local radio stations, with Beautiful Music debuting high up on T-Bo Touch's hip-hop top ten, and remaining on the charts for several weeks already.

Explicit has stayed at the forefront of the hip-hop scene since 2005, appearing in Hype Magazine countless times, as well as having tracks included in their compilation CDs. He's been featured in a double page spread in XL magazine, radio jingles for 5fm and Rhodes Fm, as well as being one of the headline performers in the 8 show “Kick in the Door” campus tour. He's featured on several compilations, mixtapes and guest appearances on other artists albums, such as Landmynz, Beats Against the Beast With a number of exciting projects in the pipelines, you'll be sure to be hearing a lot more from this rising star in the coming months.

South Africa is renowned for its diverse cultures and music is but one of the offerings the country proudly boasts. Today, Angolan born DJ Dino Bravo calls South Africa his home and adds much vibrancy and skill to the profession that has captured his heart and soul – MUSIC. 
Africa has been home to Bravo for quite some time after being raised in Cuba. He then moved to South Africa in the early 90s and has adapted perfectly to the lifestyle and culture that the country is known for. 
His music inspiration hails from the strong Samba, Latin and African rhythm he is accustomed to and the result of this unique blend is a host of infectious combination's of musical styles. Music has forever been ingrained into this artist’s soul and his entry into this world goes back to the days of his youth where he enjoyed break-dancing and rapping.
No musical style goes unnoticed and his musical repertoire includes that of hip-hop, kwaito, bhangra, pop, plus much more. Each style is influenced and complemented the unique flavor he adds each time. 
It was inevitable that such talent would be noticed when Bravo caught the attention of DJ Fresh at Intersection nightclub in Randburg. The fellow DJ liked Bravo’s unique style of mixing and interesting song selection and this led to an invite onto DJ Fresh’s YFM show. Exposure on-air saw the concept of the ‘mega-mix’ being born and Bravo began to gain a following from a multitude of fans across South Africa. He continued to perform to crowds all over the nation and it became evident that this artist was one to watch.
Soon after, he released his first CD – entitled Yo Mama’s Favourite in 20xx. This platinum certified album included collaborations with some of South Africa’s finest musical talent including Kabelo, Skwatta Kamp, Malik, Proverb, Black Jack, and DJ Fresh, to name but a few. 
Dino Bravo remains ever faithful to his indigenous sounds and has continued to reinvent himself over the years. The result of which is the great-sounding rhythms that have, and continue to, set many a dance floor alight! His ongoing evolution proves that he is constantly able to adapt to the latest music trends, sounds and techniques. 
By remaining connected to his roots and influences he is able to create sounds that he himself loves. As a result, his music is forever filled with soul, rhythm and has the ability to reach and touch people. His musical creations unite cultures and are inspired from the soulful meaning of music.
His passion reaches far beyond the decks and he has shown a keen interest in producing, yet another talent that remains to be truly showcased.

DJ Dino Bravo is a true reflection of the potential that exists within the music industry.
