The Farsiders were formed under the moniker of Mrs O'Learys Cow, The Mavericks, or The Dumb Angels, and have been performing and releasing music since the days of home recording on cassettes. It's now time to enter the digital world. Warrington based troubadours / musicians, Richard Boast (vocals, backing vocals, guitars, piano, organ, ukulele, drums) and Nicholas McCarthy (bass, guitar, piano, harmonica, backing vocals, vocals, drums) write and perform all the tracks. ‘A long time passing’ is their third official album, recorded between October 2018 and March 2019 and released 4th June 2019. About 25 years since their first school/college projects. Their third album takes in many of their influences, the beach boys in particular and early indie pop, to create a gentle and smooth sound, with songs about love, life, loss and locality.
