PSYCHEDELEPHANT is this thing. Described by many, understood by few, appreciated by a few more than that, we are Janksters of mantras, intonations, and groove identification. Sounds a bit like acid jazz..or space-rock..or psychedelic folk dub..I'm not sure really. I don't even fully comprehend it. It is about as vague as that other thing and it has this aura of mystique about it. ..but it's tons of fun!
Nominated for a Fort Worth Weekly Music Award in 2012 for Best Experimental/Avant-Garde Act and heroes of many a house party, PSYCHEDELEPHANT (pronounced psycho-deli-fans) is an indie two-ish piece band having relied only on their wits and imaginations (and computers) to handle all of their own recording needs, concept art, promotion/marketing, community collaboration, and development in the most psychedelic manner imaginable.
There are build-ups and drops. There is looping with a pinch of modulation. There will be people grooving. It is highly improvisational in its structure. It is for the betterment of bandkind.
