It is a track I always wanted to do, I Did not want to create a mix that would loose the essence
of the awesome original, by turning it into something else it was not supposed  to be. The Original will always be the best in my opinion. This is my version and is my personal tribute to a golden age of vintage computer music production.
This track was done for my personal pleasure and decided to share it with the world.

Equipment and software used:

Original Amiga 1200, With Octamed tracker, Original Game Turrican II for scoring.
Sony Vaio Laptop, All patterns and track created with MODPLUG TRACKER open source software, Sibelius 6 notation software.
Access Virus synth, VSTi Drum module, 8bit drum sounds. EMU0202 soundcard, Wavelab 6, Waves plugins for mastering.

Loads of late nights and patience went into making this track, its the first time ive gone back to using trackers for nearly 20years, It has been such a cracking project to work on, and finally doing the Turrican II track which I should have done years ago. 
Everything you hear is created using patterns and HEX coding, No sample loops used at all. 
The track was scored just by hearing the original.

My first Dubstep experiment! Hope you like!

An original piece of music by Blake Robinson. This time it's an older piece brought up to date. This was composed for the Multivaders album for a sudden unveiling of a traitor amongst the 'good guys' - I used crazy violins and strings to try and make it dramatic sounding. This version has been remastered and extended from the album release. It has boosted strings, new melodies, a choir and more percussion. If you're interested in the full soundtrack, it's still up on iTunes/Amazon/etc (just search for Multivaders).

This is a free download to everyone so that anyone who has bought the album can get the updated version for free. Check out my other tracks as there's quite a few revamped/redone Multivaders tracks.

Multivaders - Traitor's Motif

Original composition - Modern, contemporary piece composed with a video game combat sequence in an Eastern European locale in mind.

Created using Cubase 5, Project Sam Symphobia and Classic Brass, EWQL Symphony Orchestra and Ra, Heavyocity Evolve Mutations 1 and 2, Spectrasonics Trilogy and Atmosphere, and other bits and bobs.

Influenced by the music in many recent popular games such as Call of Duty Black Ops, Modern Warfare 2, Metal Gear Solid 4, Red Dead Redemption, Assassins Creed etc.

Hybrid - Black Treacle (Summer Mixtape)

I've been fascinated by music and sound for as far back as I can remember. My earliest memory is of being in a paddling pool in my back garden one summer afternoon in about 87, my mum listening to Level 42 loudly in the house, and me being fascinated by the music. Some years later at school I was given the Triangle to play, at first I felt a little left out (the other kids having been given guitars, drums, or recorders to play), but when I realised I could make different noises with the instrument by holding it  "incorrectly" I was fascinated.

So my fascination grew, and a joined a band, and I played rock music and indie for a while, but when I went to Uni I discovered this thing called electronic music. And fell in love with creating sounds using nothing more than an electronic signal and some wave editing software.

It is my life-long ambition to compose music and design sound for either the TV & movie industry, or video games market. And I'm trying to create music in as many different styles as possible. I'm always up for a bit of collaboration, so go ahead and just ask!
