INVSB005 Press Release: 
NickBee, or Nikolai Bogomolov to his friends, has been the staple diet of discerning drum & bass fans the world over for some time now. Having already released a steady stream of 
deep, dark and disturbingly good tracks, this Ukrainian producer is ready to show just why the likes of Ed Rush & Optical, The Upbeats and Invisible label owners Noisia have been jumping on his sound.

His EP for Invisible offers a range of moods and flavours. The opening expanses of 'Discovery', the first of two tracks produced with fellow-Ukrainian Sunchase, lead you in gently offering muted bass sounds and juddering sound FX. 'Mangup' also features Sunchase, and here the pair take you deep into an epic off-world experience. Chanting vocals are offset with sharp breakbeats and digital crunches of bass that create an inevitable and irresistible tension.

Sides C and D see Nickbee team up with Malk. Firstly the duo deliver the sci-fi horror of 'Alien', a track that's deserving to share the title of Ridley Scott's intensely chilling film of the same name, followed by the hauntingly beautiful 'Cosmos', another perfectly put together piece of drum & bass that sticks two futuristic fingers up at the usual dance floor fodder.

Revolution Recordings return for the New Year with two brand new tracks from Ukrainian producers Sunchase and Nickbee. First up on the release is the epic ‘Life Simulator’. Ghostly atmospherics and resonating Sitars alongside some tribal percussion establishes the tone. When this one drops, it drops hard. Deep, low end sub bass combined with twisted, raw sounding leads are the key characteristics here, optimized for a unique journey into the deeper side of Drum and Bass.

Next up we have ‘Full HD’ with its dreamy laidback introduction and spine tingling vocals all build to a crescendo of hard hitting Kicks, Snares and warped Bass lines. It is clear to see Sunchase and Nickbee are not only extremely gifted producers but both are at the cutting edge of modern day Electronic music. Seriously head nodding stuff! A must for anyone who likes their D&B that little bit deeper.

With one foot set in the future and another amongst neurofunk DNB's architects, Nick's trademark sound is not easily classified. Morphing, animalistic basslines project through sonic space in perfectly organized chaos, with structure provided by painfully sharp drums. Never conforming to any set mold, Nickbee's allegiance to innovation makes a quirky, experimental element a defining factor of his music.
