Back onboard the Crosstown Rebels mothership with some serious dancefloor business, Venezuelan duo Fur Coat deliver three of their most accomplished tracks to date with the ‘Berlin Chronicles EP’.

This three track of dancefloor dynamite features the momentous ‘Pankow’ on the A Side, a fitting techno tribute to the borough of Berlin. On the flip and we ascend into the heavens with the inspiring ‘Banhof” and finally we follow up with the magnificent ‘Seven’.

Hard working and passionate, Fur Coat have had a string of successful releases since they first came onto the scene on the likes of Hot Creations, Bpitch Control and of course Crosstown Rebels. Unearthed and championed by original Rebel Damian Lazarus, the duo released their impressive debut album ‘Mind Over Matter’ on the label in 2012.

Since the album dropped, the pair has been called upon to rework legends such as Timo Maas & Robert Owens as well as hot newcomers Kidnap Kid & Joy Wellboy. Remixes are also forthcoming for Stephan Bodzin on Systematic and Ruede Hagelstein on Watergate.

Last year saw the talented duo appear at No.66 in RA’s Top 100 DJs chart and 2015 is set to be another big year with an upcoming Balance compilation, alongside a massive worldwide tour and some very special projects that are yet to be revealed.

DNDM is fresh and inovative collaboration project between Danielle Nicole and Derek Marin.
Growing up in New York, Danielle was first influenced by techno music in the late 90's during a legendary era when dance music and club culture were rampant in New York City. Nightclubs like the Tunnel, Limelight and Sound Factory spawned an inspiration that she could not ignore and she decided to translate her fifteen years of classical music theory and performance training into djing and producing and was immediately recognized as a forceful new talent in the industry. Known for her unique minimalistic take on techno, Danielle's presence as an artist cannot be ignored. Intense bass and dark animated synths are sprinkled with percussive detail and idiosyncratic sounds. She first introduced her sound to New York club goers at venues like Cielo, Sullivan Room, Love and Pacha before spreading her musicality globally. By now, she has engaged techno lovers in cities all over the United States, Central & South America, the Middle East and Europe. Despite a hectic calendar, Danielle is insistent about making time in the studio. Since releasing her first EP in 2008, she has released records on various labels including Little Helpers, Fantastic Friends, What Now Becomes, Thoughtless Music, Draft, Sullivan Room Records, NOSI Music, Klectik, Tulipa Recordings, Frequenza and Minitec Series. Danielle has remixed and collaborated with top techno artists including Someone Else, Matt Star, Dilo, Pablo Denegri, Alland Byallo, Jonny Cruz and Francesco Assenza.
Marin has been a staple of underground music for over 21 years & is one of the hardest working human beings in Techno. His productions are heading into the 1000s.
Derek has performed & collaborated with some of the biggest artists in the electronic music world like Andrew Fletcher of Depeche Mode, Mr. C, Alexi Delano, Carl Craig & Adultnapper just for starters.
Here is but a fraction of the great labels that Mr. Marin is associated with: Plastic City, Thoughtless, Superfreq, Get Physical, Little Helpers, Hidden, Fade, Surface, Thema, Siesta and many many more. Derek also produces under the monikers Sideview, Platonik, Modest D & others. In 2004, he established his own imprints Faucet Music & Like Button plus heads Subtrak Records. Aphrohead’s first full-length album, Resurrection, in over decade has recently been released, one of the standout tracks ‘Grown Man Cryy’ sees a single release complete with a superb Carl Craig ‘Brainy Grimlin’ rework.

A heavy Detroit influence can be heard in the Aphrohead classic ‘Grown Man Cryy’, fittingly reworked by the master of the techno scene Carl Craig into a pulsating anthem suspended in time. The original cut (as put into words by DJ Mag) acts to “remind the world of the depths of talent and personality that made Aphrohead such a perennial force previously.”

Aphrohead created a precedent in 90's techno on halcyon labels Bush, Global Cuts, Power Music, Thee Black Label & Radical Fear. His Felix Da Housecat alias went on to form the epicentre of the electro-clash scene and it was through this alias his friendship began with Crosstown Rebels pioneer Damian Lazarus, then at City Rockers. Carl Craig is a key player in Detroit’s techno sound, recently releasing ‘The KMS remixes’ and consistently delivering on his own Planet E label. He began recording at the turn of the 1990's, using a number of aliases to release innovative ambient, techno, breakbeat and future jazz sounds including BFC, Psyche, Paperclip People, 69, Designer Music and Innerzone Orchestra. He is also the co-creator and artistic director for the widely successful Detroit Electronic Music Festival.

Very few artists have influenced the sound of house and techno as much as Roman Flügel.  Having been active since the early 90’s under various aliases, few have been revered so widely as a DJ, live performer, producer, remixer, intellectual and record label owner.  The record labels he helped found, Ongaku, Klang and Playhouse, are pivotal imprints in the electronic music scene, and his ability to gracefully incorporate and master most styles of 4/4 has seen him create a range of genres from techno, house, electro, ambient, IDM, downtempo, and acid house.  Respected both as a solo artist and collaborator, this veteran of the scene has just ticked the label’s bucket list with an incredible double vinyl for Hypercolour. 
6 tracks of highly polished techno/electronica cover a range of tempos and styles on ‘Monday Brain’, a double pack vinyl to be released this October.  Flügel demonstrates his ability to morph his sound with the times, and displays his breadth of sound design magnificently over the release. 
Cosmic IDM sensibilities are explored on EP opener ‘Teenage Engineering’, building in harmony and texture, and a fine example of Flügel’s melodic sound, whilst ‘Make It Happen’ captures more psychedelic touches over a solid groove.
‘Man Sees The Face God Sees The Heart’ goes as deep as the title suggests, rhythmic sounds melodically ride over minimal beats and luscious bass in a stirring slice of modern electronica, whilst ‘Church Of Dork’ wigs out like the very best Chicago house records, its synth motif worming around the jacked up beats.  ‘Picnic For Players’ comes ready with blissful and melancholic riffs, dipped in warm reverb for a classic sounding piece, and the EP closes in fine style with the shadowy ‘Vegetarian Leather Jackets’.

Even after two decades of music production and arrangement, Flügel shows no sign of dipping in the quality control department, and ‘Monday Brain’ is a testament to this producer who is clearly heading into the prime of his career, displaying an effortless knack of creating timeless dance.
