His reworks have been played on BBC Radio 6 regularly by Craig Charles, and DJs the world over, and the sheer number of tracks he produces have caused people to suggest he doesn't sleep much. His passion for the genre is immense which he describes as being embraced by a warm joy. Listen in!

Sarah Violet is a self-taught, fiery DJ and well known for her energy behind the decks.
Sarah has always been extremely supportive to the London DJ scene, this influenced and inspired her to learn how to DJ back in 2018.

Recognised for her knowledge in discovering fresh soulful-disco and funky house beats, along with Sarah’s ambition and determination, she has already made a name for herself.

Sarah has been found spinning for the following events; Ibiza Anthems Brunch at Q Shoreditch, ADE (Amsterdam Dance Event) 2019, Cafe Mambo @ McQueen London and SugarHut in Brentwood, Sisters of House Jin Bo Law Skybar & McQueen in Shoreditch, MiCasaEsTuCasa, Thirty3hz and for RAW underground events.

Sarah and her partner Clarkson are founders of 'DiscNoTheque' a Disco, Nu-Disco, Funky & Soulful House event with one rule...No Techno! With upcoming parties at Basing House in Shoreditch, Colours Hoxton and events in Hertford, their event is quickly becoming the talk of the disco town!

For my hour I started slow and wound things up to some ferocious disco towards the end, finishing on a work in progress demo from myself. In hour two Late Night disco delivered a super smooth hour of funky grooves, a real treat for your ears! 

Late Night Disco is a DJ duo based in Hackney, London. For the past 8 years, they have been filling dance floors up and down the country, bringing their love for disco and feel-good funk-filled edits whilst supporting headline acts such as Dave Lee, Dr Packer & Dimitri from Paris.

Pete Le Freq @ Sotano 29.7.23 Part 2

If ever there was someone who the phrase “How does he find time to make that?” was about, serial editor and remixer Pete Le Freq is it. His reworks have been played on BBC Radio 6 regularly by Craig Charles, and DJs the world over, and the sheer number of tracks he produces have caused people to suggest he doesn't sleep much.

Pete started producing over 12 years ago, and made a bit of noise with his house label Llama Farm Recordings. He's been remixed by Jay-J, Eric Kupper and Kenny Summit, appeared on compilations with Joey Negro and LCD Soundsystem, and played alongside  the likes of Crazy P, Inland Knights, CagedBaby and a few others. 

Since discovering the things he was sampling were better than the things he was making, Pete found that retouching and reworking the originals gave him his producing mojo back, and soon after Alpaca Edits was born. 

The York based edits label has since become home to disco superstars such as Dr Packer, Chuggin Edits, and Mannix. He’s been resident DJ at Sotano in York for the last 7 years, and this has fuelled his productions to greater heights. He’s known for playing 5 hour sets that incorporate both his new productions and others versions of serious disco action.

2019 has seen Pete get a vinyl release alongside the likes of Fingerman, Al Kent and Sleazy McQueen on Samosa Recordings, produce remixes for the likes of Hot Digits and Midnight Riot, as well as having 4 eps of his reworks on his own Alpaca Edits. He’s also debuted at Tramlines Festival in Sheffield, and made a return to rock the Toil Trees stage at Beatherder for the second year running. 

November saw him support Michael Gray and Fingerman at Distrikt in Leeds and Derek Kaye in York. The year ended with him beating the likes of Mousse T and Ray Mang in the Traxsource Nu-Disco Top 100 Artists of the year. 

Lockdown saw Pete go into rework overdrive, running a weekly Thursday night stream, as well as starting a regular show on Street Sounds Radio. He also worked with Ashley Slater of Freak Power on some original tracks.

2021 has seen the return of Pete’s That Needs An Edit nights in York, and will culminate in December with a guest slot from Shaka Loves You.

Bringing his love for eclectic beats from the vibrant Parisian music scene to the U.S. and New England in 2005, Nick is a true connoisseur of various genres such as Nu-disco, Boogie, French house, Disco house and more. With a deep-rooted connection to both his French-American heritage and an unwavering passion for underground electronic dance music, Nick's DJ journey has been an exhilarating one.

Currently, he plays regularly in Brooklyn, NY and Boston, MA, where he continues to enchant the crowd with his diverse and unique sound. His musical journey started in renowned Parisian clubs like Concorde Atlantique and Barramundi, where he honed his skills and developed his distinct style.

Nick's talent and passion led him to co-host Afrosonic Sessions alongside DJ Dublin on Pressureradio.com, an international house radio station based in the UK. This exposure allowed him to reach a global audience, expanding his influence as a DJ.

Throughout his career, Nick has been entertaining audiences at WERS radio, Cafe Balearica in Brooklyn, NY, The FaceRadio BK, the Brahmin, W Hotel, MiddleEast, Roxy's Arcade, Disco Embers and Canststop DJ events in Providence, RI. He has also been part of noteworthy events such as fashion shows at prestigious venues like the Liberty Hotel, RISD Museum and Yotel Sky lounge.

Having shared the stage with esteemed artists like Stacy Kidd, Abicah Soul, Mateo and Matos, Ian Friday, and Ron Trent, Nick's talent as a DJ has earned him well-deserved recognition and admiration from the electronic music community. With an ever-evolving sound that blends his multicultural background and love for diverse rhythms, Nick continues to keep his sound funky and fresh.
