Short snipped from a large orchestra piece I am working on - testing the new approach to performing and rendering woodwinds. 2 bassoons, contrabassoon, 2 clarinets, bass clarinet, 2 oboes, english horn are all physical simulation/sampling hybrids SampleModeling SWAM instruments. Flutes and piccolo are from Berlin Woodwinds. Uses VSL’s MIR Pro for spatialization and ER, MIRacle for tail, VSL Limiter for level.

I used synth instruments such as synth brass,strings and drums for create realistic and really cinematic sound. Also i used other synth and pads for made atmosphere of night.

In Glasgow, the summer typically lasts the best part of a week and if you're one of the many people unfortunate enough to have a day job, you’re going to see most of it through the office window. I used to work this really sh***y office job and whenever it became too much for me (Which was often the case) I used to look at photos of these perfect Miami beaches and attempt to project myself to that location. Almost like a mental vacation. These idyllic, pictures of purple skies that seemed to be drenched in an eternal amber twilight so thick it was palpable.

That's what I wanted to capture in this track. I wanted to take the listener on a brief mental vacation.
