Jskinz, otherwise known as, Joshua Skinner is a Chicago native. His ear for music came at an early age when trying to play familiar tunes on his fathers piano but noticing how it always sounded "off". He didnt get into singing early in his life like most of his relatives. However at the age of 13, due to his brother joining a youth choir, he followed suit. From that point on he noticed he had a natural talent for singing as much of the rest of his family. He would constantly be caught singing from the early hours of the day to late in the night. His growth in singing earned him the title of lead tenor in his church choir for a sum of years. In 2006 He decided to give recording a try and although his first original song didnt earn much of any type of note throughout his family and friends, he pushed forward writing song after song and producing his own melodies to go with most. It wasnt until 2012 that he became confident in his vocal ability. His music is inspired mostly from relationships. Some that he has personally dealt with as well as some he speaks with others about. His goal with his music is to be able to reach ANYONE regardless of what their musical preference is. He is Currently working on his 1st big 16 track album.
