this is the set liveset I played on the 4d system in amsterdam during my residency in April 2014. 
Equipment used: MFB Tanzbär, Clavia Nordrack2, TeenageEngineering OP-1, Arturia Microbrute and AbletonLive as master clock, sampler and midi sequencer. 

Everything on the 4D sound was tweaked by hand in real-time, as well as the whole arrangement. I preprogrammed some chords and grooves on my machines though. 

The 4D System is an advanced spatial sound system and the set is binaural (also called dummy head) recorded - in order to get an idea of how it sounded you need to use your headphones. 

For the full binaural experience, I made the lossless AIFF file available for download. Please note that the download is over 1 GB in size.

For Respekt 166, we welcome Stiv Hey for his first full EP on the label. The release kicks off with 'Can't Stop'; a stone-cold dancefloor destroyer with it's seismic kickdrum, swirling vocal loops and percussive synth hook. Backing it up is 'Control', a slightly deeper take on Stiv's sound, powered by a huge offbeat bass and topped with cool, proggy chords.
As if these two monsters weren't enough, we have a double bill of debut remixers too. Brennen Grey cranks up the drones on his remix of 'Can't Stop', and Juliet Fox takes us on a trip deep into acid territory with her monster rework of 'Control'.

The very talented italian artist Tom Hutt is known for his driving deep Techno sound. With releases on Labels like PHOBIQ, BITTEN and RESPEKT he already made his production quite known. We are really happy to have him on our imprint with his new EP "CLOVERFIELD".

The lead Track Cloverfield is pure rash, instinct. It's almost an old memory, primordial, that you feel like you've known forever but it's the first time you hear it. And like all instincts, it leads you to move and go wild.

Pacing through the snowy sand; white beaches that leave marks behind every step; Seagulls chirping, and suddenly a steady bass appears as waves crash onto the beach. A dream-like state begins, and as the beat sets in, you are lost in the sounds of Stimming. His new album was born in this very state of mind, on the beaches of the Baltic Sea, during a 5-week retreat from reality in the winter of 2012. 'Stimming' is like a story, told by the maker and his music. Even without a direct storyline, listening to the album will leave you drifting off into another world, filled with extravagant characters and thoughts, New Release Information blossoming ideas and suspenseful moments. The contrast of traditional and modern, of colorful yet sinister, of the classical but still unheard compositions is the main focus of this album. These controversies are reflected in the album cover as well: bright waves surrounded by dark skies, a beautiful and enchanting cherry blossom placed upon two black, headless pigeons, bringing together elements that are not intended to be combined. These pigeons are the main theme of the track 'Die Taube auf dem Dach', a track that brings across the hope and dream of freedom. 'Naked feet walking on sand/Gently senses awake' The album's 3rd track 'Ferdinand ft. Urzula Amen' delivers driving basses, Spanish guitar sounds and beautiful vocals by singer Urzula Amen, that emerge into multi layered harmonies, accompanied by enchanting synthesizer sounds.

We welcome the Swedish techno legend Johan Afterglow to the label who provides up with 2 great peak time techno tracks in the form of his Limonelime EP!

'Limonelime' with deep organic syncopated grooves, warm horn elements take you away from the darkness momentarily whilst never loosing sight of the industrial underpinnings.

'Plenty' is heads down chunky techno that means business, overlayed with airy chord & melodic elements.

For remixes this time, we welcome Fredrik Lundberg and label owner Nicklas Enace who puts there trademark touch on the main track Limonelime!

RHR013 Johan Afterglow - Limonelime (Nicklas Enace Deep Night Remix) [OUT NOW!]

Nicklas was born and raised in Stockholm, Sweden. His passion for music started in a very young age through his father who is a jazz, blues and funk guitarist.

Nicklas has been interested in all forms of art, especially music. He has played drums and guitar since the age of 8.

The interest for electronic music started when a friend introduced him to acid and trance. Nicklas soon became a regular visitor at the few records stores that sold underground dance music in Stockholm.

In the year 2000 Nicklas planed his dream vacation, a long journey to Asia. But Nicklas became ill and he had to cancel the trip. Using the money he had saved for traveling he bought his first dj gear. That was the very start for his career. The genre at that point was psytrance, full-on and progressive.

After some years Nicklas was playing at underground parties almost every weekend in Sweden and Denmark. He was playing under alias such as “Dj Nirre” and “Flash Gordon”. He also did some live shows under the alias “Tryptamine”. Over a couple of years he had been playing B2B and alongside some of the world biggest psytrance artists such as Artax, Azax Syndrom, Z-Man, Logic Bomb and more.

As Nicklas got older his musical interest was changing to a more indoor and club style. In 2008 he started the record label Another Label Records that has released tracks from Pierce Fulton, Shane Silver, Gentry Jones, Frederic Van Hooft to name a few.

In 2010 a new era started for Nicklas. He has finally found his style of music, melodic and bass driven Techno and had his first release on ALR. In 2011 he decided to start a new record label called Rabbit Hole Recordings that is focusing on darker sounds like techno, tech-house, minimal and experimental music.

The mixture of his melodic tech-house combined with dark driving techno forms Nicklas’ specific sound.

His early dj career with psytrance, full-on and progressive has evolved into a modern funky bass and melodic driving style. He is always looking for new things to add in his live sets.
