This week’s guest artist, Funkanizer (aka Mike Pal), comes to us all the way from Greece. Mike’s first foray into music was as a bass player and for the last three years he has been making his mark on the international Ghetto Funk scene from his native Athens. His latest EP, Groove Gigolos a co-production with S Strong on Scour Records, has been a huge success. And if you scour the Internet for quality bass driven music like we do, then you know Mike’s work is supported by some of the best bass music blogs around including Ghetto Funk (Spinforth’s Scour), HongKongPingPong and Free Breaks Blog just to name a few. For his appearance in The Armory this week, Mike has all of the four major food groups well represented (ghetto funk, glitch hop, breakbeat and drum and bass) in this fabulous 55-minute mix set. Rob Garza - Midnight in a Perfect World Mix

Originally concealed in the credits of the record covers under the heading "composition and production", Guts secured his fame as a beatmaker by trimming the soundtrack of Alliance Ethnik, Big Red or the Svinkels. In solo since 2007 and his album "Le Bienheureux"(Was On Records), he then expanded his musical palette with "Freedom", a darker but also more released record released on his own label Pura Vida. Exiled in Ibiza, it is from his Balearic Island that he will publish in 2011 "Paradise For All", on the label which is still to this day, Heavenly Sweetness. Since 2013, he has concocted with his accomplice Mambo, the cult compilations Beach Diggin', dedicated to the discovery of rare and sunny galettes.

Guts is a regular at Goulash Disko Festival, and he likes to invite members of his musical family to join the show, and bring his own magic to the Goulash blend.

One of my favorite festivals in the World is the Radio Meuh Circus Festival nestled in the small ski village of Clusaz in the French Alps. It was quite an honor & excitement to play an entire night start to finish to kick off the 2019 festival with my partner in Turntables on the Hudson sound system, Nappy G on percussion. Although his drum head broke in the middle of the night, he managed to make magic & keep the rhythms flowing till the end freestyle with me on the CDJ's making beats, him rocking the broken congas & a beautiful charged up crowd keeping the energy very high! We get down anywhere anytime full of passion & heart & if you can imagine this very packed crowd sweating all up on top of each other, dancing, smiling, grinding, drinking... you get the idea of a Radio Meuh, Turntables on the Hudson, Alps, Nile, Ramblas, Danube, Ipanema, Caribbean vibes! Nickodemus is a traveler at heart—a connector of worlds, scenes, and people since the mid-90s.
