In 2015, React Presents breathes new life into this energy, combined with the unmatched summer time vibes of Chicago, to host the new annual two-day festival, Mamby on the Beach.

After scoring a UK number 1 single with ‘My Love’ earlier this year Route 94 makes his debut appearance for Matt Tolfrey’s underground institution, Leftroom, with ‘Misunderstood’.

Despite the commercial success of ‘My Love’, Route 94’s ‘Misunderstood’ is very much contemporary underground house but sees 21-year-old Rowan Jones imbue the genre with the same addictive hooks he made his name with. Already a firm favourite with Annie Mac and Skream, this is a weighty EP from the young Londoner.

The title track of ‘Misunderstood’ centres around a staccato, insistent keyboard lick straight out of 80s electronic funk while rattling drums, raucous sub bass and piano stabs combine in an arrangement designed to maximise each part perfectly.

‘Escape’ sees Jones employ loose drums with dense percussive elements and the sort of bumping, rolling bass that Derrick Carter does so well while penultimate track ‘Cowboy’ moves with a satisfying skip, growling bass and a moodier tone.

Closing the EP out, the skeletal ‘Elevate’ and its eponymous vocal refrain is strikingly hefty for such a stripped back cut, creating a track that works alone as well as holding it’s ground as a nifty mixing tool.

‘Dear Life’ is the next chapter for Claptone and the second glimpse of his first full-length set for release in Autumn 2015. The mysterious enigma with the golden mask has gone from strength to strength of late, following an acclaimed BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix, a Beatport chart-topping smash remix of Gregory Porter and an incredible live show at the Miami Ultra Music Festival.
 
The single breaks new ground for Claptone as he delves deeper into songwriting. This time he is reunited with French singer Jaw (1/3 of production trio dOP) with whom he previously worked on ’No Eyes’, a big record for him back in 2013 on the notorious Berlin House label Exploited. In the new offering ‘Dear Life’ Claptone has created a spellbinding dance floor ready anthem that’ll sound just as good on your home stereo.

The masked figure recently shared teaser 'The Music Got Me', the first taste of the album and a track which went on to reach the top 5 on Beatport’s deep house chart, as did B-side Forest of Love. For the club heads, Claptone and Jaw deliver a second cut ‘Secret Lover’, a track packed with raw funk and a highlight of his recent Essential Mix.
