After their last release Replicant in May 22, Theydream is launching with new music. The Swiss electro duo consisting of the brothers Stefan and Jonas is known for varied tracks, unusual synthesizers and convoluted sounds that make you think and dance.
Now there is something new from the studio: The single "Subconscious" contains the title track, as well as "Time to be“ on the B-Side. What to expect?
‘Subconscious' is a captivating and rather progressive peak-time track that blends elements from different genres in a unique mix. Its harmonious break is a welcome change to the otherwise driving and repetitive style.
'Time to be' on the other hand, is more of a groovy, warm, and old-schoolish Techno track. It is reminiscent of days gone by, while also being suited for the upcoming festival season.

Ahead of the release of his debut album, Melawati serves ups a new single from it on Ellum Audio while label head Maceo Plex remixes alongside AVNU.

Belgian artist Melawati's debut album ‘Artimia’ arrives in October. It was produced with an array of modified machines and modular synths and finds the artist searching for beauty in chaos. It is an experimental but emotive work that lands on this label after Melawati met Maceo Plex, hit it off, then shared an impromptu jam.
The excellent 'Slow Pulse' is exactly that - languorous synth lines that stretch out over downbeat drums. It's a track full of yearning and melodic beauty that shimmers and shines with a cosmic sense of loss at its heart.
The remix comes from boss Maceo Plex alongside label regular and Scotsman AVNU. They flip the original into a loose-limbed bit of spaced-out tech funk. The retro-future chords have subtle hints of nostalgia while the drums and bass carry you away on a fluid groove.

This is high-class space music as always from Ellum Audio.

"Nahar" is a classic melodic techno track. It is driven by a pitch bended bass line and powerful organic percussion. The heart of the track is the beautiful voice of Shaya Avitan. On top of that, there is a variety of majestic synthesizers playing in a question – answer – pattern.

Highlighting the ever-evolving sound of the label, Anjunabeats is proud to welcome Tinlicker for their first single outing.

Bringing a dance floor sensibility to the deeper end of the electronic spectrum, the Dutch duo Jordi van Achthoven and Micha Heyboer have courted the attention of global labels and tastemakers since breaking out in 2013. Prolific musicians with backgrounds in dubstep and pop production, their journey so far has seen them release on the likes of Mau5trap, Armada, Sotto Voce and Anjunadeep - with an a eclectic array of DJ support from Above & Beyond to Oliver Heldens, Tiësto to Yotto.

Able to turn their hand to deep house, techno and electro, the pair have reworked the likes of Lane 8 and Deadmau5; their stunning update of Reflekt ‘Need To Feel Loved’ becoming a sought after mix among fellow DJs over the last 12 months.

Having played every stop of the Anjunabeats 17 date North American tour this Spring, their first single on the label partners them with Run Rivers (Chris James) for ‘Lost’. With previous collaborations including DJ Shadow and Joe Ashworth, Chris adds a yearning quality to the rolling grooves of ‘Lost’.

TInlicker explains how the collaboration came about, “The first track we tried to make with Chris just didn't want to succeed and then suddenly out of the blue this gem appeared. The power of almost giving up, but persevering comes through in the song”.

With summer shows including festival sets at Creamfields, Tomorrowland and CRSSD (CA), we look forward to discovering more about the Tinlicker universe in the coming months.

Finding air time with the likes of Pete Tong on BBC Radio 1, Jason Bentley on KCRW and The Aston Shuffle on Australia’s triple j for their moody dancefloor rework of ‘Breezeblocks’ by alt-J, Tinlicker reveal the final single ahead of their debut album release, ‘This Is Not Our Universe’.

Returning to the soulful laidback house music that made them such a beloved act on Anjunadeep, Jordi and Micha are reunited with Australian singer Thomas Oliver, the voice behind ‘Nothing Without You’ and ‘Soon You’ll Be Gone’.

"Thomas Oliver has been a friend of the family ever since he appeared on Black Sun Empire's 'All Is Lost' for the first time. Together we wrote 'Soon You’ll Be Gone’ and 'Nothing Without You’, so we definitely wanted another track in collaboration with him on our album. This tune has a very nice feel-good vibe for us, and that is mainly due to Thomas' vocals. We tried to make the instrumental elements fit around it as well as possible. "

Tinlicker’s ‘This Is Not Our Universe’ will be released on vinyl, limited edition CD tin and digitally on the 27th of September.
