Certain sounds tend to evoke certain emotions within us. From our countless conversations with our favorite melodic producers we know that emotions are the center of their work, may it be by expressing their emotions in their music or facilitating emotional journeys through their DJ-sets. CHROMA is an artistic experiment to further explore the link between music and emotions. We asked 10 of our favorite producers to create a track based on a certain emotion. Each EP of the five CHROMA EPs is dedicated to one emotion and contains two tracks by two different artists. Do you feel what we feel?

We all carry anger within us, often kept locked away for years or even decades. When that intense, accumulated anger rises to the surface, we call it Fury. Fury is the pinnacle of anger. It’s raw, intense and unbound - impossible to contain.

The Leipzig-based rising star Jil Tanner interpreted Fury in her very own way, processing her personal experiences with malicious people in her life. ‘Toxic People’ draws a beautiful contrast between hopeful melodies, a powerful kick & groove and her self-written & recorded vocal, conveying a clear message: 
“Toxic people only change their victims, never themselves.”

Big news at Fckng Serious! The founding father of our beloved label, Boris Brejcha, returns to his roots after his time at Ultra Music and releases on his own label Fckng Serious.
On June 10, after a 4-year hiatus, his first original single will be released on the label he founded in 2015. In the meantime, he still contributed remixes for his label colleagues Moritz Hofbauer and Theydream. For the new single, he picked two songs that many fans have been waiting for a very long time.
"Up Down Jumper" and "Keep Rollin" are two of the tracks Boris currently plays at every gig. Tomorrowland (Belgium), EDC Las Vegas (United States), Kappa Futur (France), Ushuaia (Spain) at his own shows around the world and currently on his tour through Colombia, Peru, Brazil and the USA, these tracks are an important part of his show. Of course, the two tracks were also part of his latest livestream for Cercle live from the arena in Nimes.
Musically, we can expect a lot from this release. The title track "Up Down Jumper" is a classic Boris track and has 100% Joker sound. "Keep Rollin" also stamps its mark on every electro fan with its exciting break and driving sequences.
Fckng Serious is very happy about his return and solemnly welcomes (back) the Master of High-Tech-Minimal.

Prelusion: Ein Track der sich anfühlt, als würdest du im Abendrot ein heranziehendes Gewitter über dem Meer beobachten während deine Füße im warmen Sand tänzeln. Mark Tarmonea & Yannek Maunz modulieren ihre Melodie wie eine sich auftürmende Sturmwolke, bevor sie die Luft über der Tanzfläche mit analoger Knarzigkeit marmorieren. Es klingt monumental und dramatisch, ist aber auch von einer zeitlupenartigen Entrücktheit durchzogen. Der Remix von Mollono.Bass hält sich nah am intensiven Melodiegeschehen des Originals, färbt dieses jedoch mit einer etwas dunkleren Klangfarbe ein und schafft durch langgezogene, fließende Bewegungen eine  Stimmung von hypnotischem Understatement. Stephan Zovsky schlägt gewissermaßen die andere Richtung ein, denn er lässt die Lichter seiner technoiden Trommelmaschine blitzen und erzeugt dementsprechend viel Druck im Rhythmusbereich.

Prelusion: A track that feels like watching a thunderstorm brewing in the glow of an evening over the sea while your naked feet are shuffling in the warmth of a sandy beach. Mark Tarmonea & Yannek Maunz modulate the melody as if it was the mounds of a bulging cloud before they marble the air above the dancefloor with the analogue bite of the lead synth. It sounds monumental, it sounds dramatic - yet there’s also an underlying vibe of dreamlike tranquility. The remix of Mollono.Bass picks up the melodic arrangement of the original but presents it in slightly darker colours. Long and fluent movements create an intense feeling of understated hypnotism. Stephan Zovsky goes the other way, as the lights on his technoid drum machines flash like an arcade game, providing a profound amount of rhythmic boost.
