In Feb 2012 a young Canadian producer got in touch with us on SoundCloud. We wrote back and forth and had an EP ready to go within a month. THEN HE DISAPPEARED FOR ALMOST A YEAR. 

We finally tracked him down after he got back from incessant touring and revamped his debut EP in December 2012. Defunk's "Retro Baby" EP shot to top of the charts and the rest is history. 

2 full-length albums and a slew of remixes later, High Chai welcomes Logan Shea Anderson back for his follow-up EP "Snugglestep" - an exploration of deeper, sexier vibes with the trademark Defunk slant. A unique fusion of groove, pounding bass & live instrumentation makes this new future-bass adventure approachable, familiar and unforgettable.

This is my new tune called THE STICK UP. I called it ‘The Stick Up’ mainly because the main sample says ‘it’s a stick up’. Fun fact: this tune had a working titles of ‘Stick Thayer’, ‘Stickhead’, ‘Stick Astley’ and ‘Eat A Bag Of Sticks’.
