Rooted in American musical traditions from the Appalachian Mountains to the streets of New Orleans, The Rondo Rigs’ sound is influenced by artists like John Hartford, The Band, Sly and The Family Stone, and The Meters.
 
The Rondo Rigs play music, all the time. Whether it’s Country Songs, Fiddle Tunes, Rock and Roll or Greasy Southern Blues and Funk, it’s all about that infectious energy that keeps listeners intrigued and on their toes. It’s not uncommon for shows to include jams pre and post, and you are invited to come along as they morph from song to song, instrument to instrument, acoustic to electric, and street to stage. With three singers and multi-instrumentalists The Rondo Rigs brand of a uniquely Supercharged Americana boasts original songwriting that has been woven with sharp-witted lyrics, and danceable melodies that will keep you singing and shaking all night.

Known for his work fronting the enigmatic rock band Pedro the Lion, David Bazan’s emotionally charged narratives, eye for telling detail, and mournful voice have more in common with J.D. Bazan is a gifted storyteller, weaving parables of spiritual conflict, suburban ennui, and personal surrender into magnetic, well-crafted songs.

His debut solo full-length album, Curse Your Branches (out now on Barsuk), is a masterwork by a modern American poet at the height of his powers. Paste Magazine called him one of the “100 Best Living Songwriters”. This record is the deepest and most explicit exploration of his struggles with faith and a meditation on all things passed between the generations.
