Here's another OP-1 sketch, which I'm about to start working on in Ableton as a full track.

Seventein (OP-1 Sketch)

I experimented with created measure groups on tape with the OP-1, then manipulating them and moving the loop points in time to create something live. It ended up feeling a lot like launching scenes in Ableton to write, but the actual tape controls and the use of the mixer lent a much more organic feel to it... including mistakes.

Venus Envy (Live OP-1)

This is a documentation of works between 2006 and 2007, working at a gas station and attending a community college where I grew up. This album captures the last page of this chapter of my my life.

Pangea

Done in the course of a month, this album was a response to the stresses and unfamiliarity of living away from home, in a big city and attending music school. It's angsty, but also has all the steam-blowing dance trackery to get things done.

I finished this album the year I graduated high school. This was the transformation from slower, darker and melancholy trip-hop to more aggressive and spacier breakbeat & big beat sounds. This was before I had any MIDI controllers or digital equipment... this was made on a Pentium 4 machine with a mouse and QWERTY keyboard.

Eventually being used as a night-time track, this was compulsively inspired by the late 80's - early 90's flawless taste of game composer Yuzo Koshiro. Though it's suited for a driving game, it's somewhat of a love letter to his work in one of my favorite games of all time, "Streets Of Rage".

The original soundtrack for TrackMania²: Valley was a flying success, in my opinion. I had more time, more experience working with Gabriel Morin at Nadeo, and a better system of organization and communication.
