Here's another OP-1 sketch, which I'm about to start working on in Ableton as a full track.

Seventein (OP-1 Sketch)

I experimented with created measure groups on tape with the OP-1, then manipulating them and moving the loop points in time to create something live. It ended up feeling a lot like launching scenes in Ableton to write, but the actual tape controls and the use of the mixer lent a much more organic feel to it... including mistakes.

Headlines

Deadlight District is a cold, instrumental descent into a war-ravaged Russian financial zone. It opens with glitched Soviet tones and a slow, distorted kick—like distant shellfire in concrete canyons. Metallic synths rise like broken sirens, layered over industrial rhythms that echo malfunctioning escalators and flickering LED tickers. Midway, detuned piano and ghostly pads evoke the hollow grandeur of abandoned boardrooms and shattered wealth. The climax erupts in glitchy breakbeats and collapsing sonic architecture. It fades into a low-frequency hum and the whistle of wind through broken glass. Stark, cinematic, and unforgiving.

K-Line - Scenestruck

Hawkeye is one of the first video game soundtracks I ever composed. The game itself was the first parallax full-screen platform game on the Commodore 64 created by the Boys Without Brains (BWB). This is the preview of the remake, which me and my brother are producing in my brother's music studio. Thanks for all the feedback, guys! We're going all the way in. Stay tuned on this one!

Using only hardware synths (and some drum and SID samples) I set out to make an all «analog» tune, using nothing but good old gear and keeping things retro. Apart from some drum samples and SID samples played by my Roland S770, 760 and such, all sounds are from old 80s and 90s synths. All Roland MKS, JX-3P, D-50, TR-707, Yamaha SY, TX, Ensoniq TS, SD, Fizmo, AKAI S612 and so on. All effects are external too, PCM-70, REV7, BigSky, DP/4+, TC 2290 and so on. Analog Love

Aiming for something more environmental, I wasn't afraid to use some ambient forest sounds along side some morphing, evolving pads and slow, droning bass lines.

Some sort of melancholy call of a melody came to me while I was working on the drums, which usually come first. The rest sort of fell into place... though it's disco in its nature, "Forecast" was inspired by the groggy, exhausted feeling of being on the road before dawn, listening to a municipal weather report to plan the day's route.
