Seitz /zʌɪts/ is the art-pop project of German-born, Bristol, UK-based singer and pianist Carolin Seitz. Classically trained and heavily influenced by piano goddesses Kate Bush, Tori Amos and Fiona Apple, she combines various keyboard instruments with synthetic and programmed sounds to accommodate both classical and contemporary compositional techniques. Arrangements rich in melodic and rhythmic counterpoint intertwine effortlessly with her vocals, ranging from light and ethereal to dark and seductive. 

After the mid-pandemic release of her first two singles (‘What a sound!’ - Adam Crowther, BBC Bristol), Carolin fell silent due to long COVID. She's back just in time for Halloween '23 with ‘The Web’, a captivating dark pop tune reminiscent of Danny Elfman's haunting scores. Enjoy some creepy, crawly vibes with this comically dramatic exploration of cruelty and injustice among exoskeletal creatures! ‘The Web’ was arranged and produced in collaboration with Kostia Rapoport, a sought after German theatre composer.

The film noir-inspired music video is Carolin’s first venture into videography. It will be released on October 17th. For the time being she is still too unwell to perform live but looking forward to creating more videos for previously unreleased tracks.
