Ahead of his highly anticipated self-titled debut album, Noir drops three new interpretations of album cut ‘Glass’, alongside Symbol, a singer songwriter producer from the Maryland/DC indie scene and one half of the Baltimore underground pop group Claire Hux. The package includes a remix from Reset Robot as well as new interpretations from Noir himself, all of which are distinct from the original album.
  
The Raw Club Cut offsets Symbol’s delicate vocal against a powerful, acid-flecked bassline that simmers patiently for the track’s duration, creating a tense tech-house thumper that crescendos beautifully with the addition of haunting strings and clattering snares. Reset Robot heads to darker territory, with a rolling bassline and moody stabs leading the way, while looped refrains of the vocal shimmer in the impending gloom. Tougher still is the Broken Glass Techno Dub. As the name suggests, this is pounding techno of the very highest order, with the distinct melody of the original all but replaced with rubbery, thunderous drums and scything synthetic stabs.

Noir and Symbol - Glass (Raw Club Cut)

Renowned Colombian producer Kamilo Sanclemente @kamilosanclemente , a key figure in contemporary Progressive House, presents “Astronauts Nightmares / Destination (Remixes)” on Univack — a powerful release featuring three unique reinterpretations of his original tracks. Three distinct sonic visions reimagine Kamilo’s cosmic and melodic landscapes from complementary and personal perspectives.

Veteran Maltese artist DJ Ruby @djruby takes “Astronauts Nightmares” into an acid-driven, epic terrain — perfect for peak-time moments on the dancefloor. Argentine producer Nicolas Viana @nicolasvianadj offers a different reading, where dreamy textures and rich harmonies intertwine with organic groove and elegance. Finally, Kebin van Reeken @kebinvanreeken-1 transforms “Destination” with a progressive and hypnotic rework, marked by refined sound design and sonic depth.

This is an EP that sails smoothly between club-driven intensity and emotional subtlety, reaffirming Univack's commitment to artistic exploration within the melodic and progressive universe.

If you’ve at all sniffed around the Beatport charts at some stage in the last 12 months, then it’s highly likely that you’ll have been hugely impressed by a Berlin-based duo that go under the name ‘Mat.Joe’. With a string of releases and remixes in the last year on Snatch! Mother Recordings, Defected, Strictly Rhythm and of course Toolroom Trax, it’s an outright pleasure to have them return for their debut single release on the governing Toolroom Records this spring.

‘Nighthawk’ is an all-consuming tech house affair packed with deep grooves, guitar and synth licks and a dimly lit vocal performance, creating a delicately atmospheric personality within the track. Mat.Joe wholly boast their signature warm-yet-rough sound pallet and once again show us why their tracks are in such high demand.

The release is graced by a stunning re-work from Dosem who twists up the original elements and creates a dark roller that’s crafted to perfection.

The third and final instalment from the ‘Charmer Remixed’ series features reworks from Darius Syrossian, Emanuel Satie and Shit Robot; more dancefloor gold offered up by the man with the golden mask.

Throughout 2017, the three-part ‘Charmer Remixed’ project has seen tracks from Claptone’s debut album reworked; a collection of remixes which close the curtain on the ‘Charmer’ chapter but leave us all wanting more and anticipating what he has planned for us next.
 
The final EP in the series features three peak-time cuts, including a typically powerful weapon from the UK tech-house luminary Darius Syrossian, a classy remix from hotly-tipped Berlin producer Emanuel Satie and finally a deep and dark interpretation from DFA mainstay Shit Robot.
 
Part 3 concludes a project which has also seen reworks from Justin Martin, Timo Maas, Format:B, Raumakustik  and Superlover.

Nico Hamuy Biography 

One could say that Argentinian artist Nico Hamuy has spent most of his life living in the booths of iconic clubs and discos. Born and raised in one of the world’s most vibrant cities for electronic music; Buenos Aires is the heart where many of Nico’s memories with music were first cultivated. 

Having tried his hand at the art of DJing in 1998, Nico has enjoyed more than 20 years working passionately amongst the industry. His ability to read a dance floor, and select the most electrifying records at peak-moments is not something that can be taught; but rather an instinctive quality that sets him apart.

After several years as a touring duo, with multiple releases climbing the Beatport Top 10 charts, including his remix for KeeMo feat. Cosmo Klein ‘Beautiful Lie,’ Nico returned to his solo career in 2017. His evolution as an artist sees him transitioning into a groovier, tech-house driven sound, fuelled by chunky baselines and house vocals. This past year, Nico enjoyed playing alongside many of today’s industry leaders including Solomun, Claptone, Eric Morillo, Joris Voorn, Technasia, Dennis Cruz, Popof, Julian Jeweill, to name a few. 

As a performer, Nico’s talent has brought him to all corners of the globe. On the festival circuit, Nico has conducted the dance floors at Tomorrowland in Belgium (2013, 2014), Tomorrowland Brazil (2015), Mysteryland (2013, 2014), Creamfields (2014), StoryLand Colombia (2014, 2016), and more! 

Grateful for every door that’s been opened, Nico Hamuy looks forward to a lifetime of adventures, while spreading love through music.
