Nico Parisi makes a dynamic return to Bonzai Records with the fantastic 'Drop The Top' which follows hot on the heels of his superb remix on Microbots' 'Cosmic Evolution'. Known for his collaborations with Monotique and others, Nico solidifies his status as a mainstay in the music scene. Starting from his DJ debut at the famed Atmoz club, his career has been extraordinary. He has performed at Belgium's premier venues and global stages, wowing audiences with his exceptional DJ skills. His appearances at festivals like Bonzai Retro, Legacy Festival, and Tomorrowland highlight his lasting appeal. Nico's production journey began with a demo to Antler Subway, which gained support from industry giants like Tiesto, Oakenfold, and Van Buuren and his latest release Metro rework on Afterlife records by Kevin De Vries and Maup. With an extensive collection of originals and remixes, he continues to captivate with his innovative and expertly crafted music, remaining a powerful presence in electronic music. The Original Mix starts with a dark, murky intro of punchy kick drums and rumbling bass. Spritely hats pierce the low frequencies, while a hypnotic pluck gradually builds up to the first drop. The break expands the groove, with plucks becoming more melodic and intriguing spoken vocals adding a dark undertone before the final act. Top-notch stuff. Bonzai All Stars take on remix duties, delivering more blistering grooves for the masses. Comprising label founder Christian Pieters and veteran Dany Van Der Reiten, they are famous for their electrifying sets and on-stage antics at European parties and festivals. In recent years, they've revitalized Bonzai Records with retro-inspired nu rave grooves, collaborating with many friends in the scene. This remix features a pacey groove with chunky kicks and mesmerizing plucked synths. Shuffling hi-hats and rhythmic percussions drive the movement, while the vocal guides the narrative. Gnarly basses thicken the groove, complemented by classic chords and gated synths. Mario Piu debuts on Bonzai Records with a solid remix. A veteran DJ-producer from Livorno, Italy, Mario has been a key figure in the European music scene for over three decades. Known for hits like 'Mas Experience,' 'No Name' with Mauro Picotto, and 'Communication (Somebody Answer The Phone),' he earned the nickname "The Italian Fatboy Slim" and ranked in DJ Mag's Top 100. Recently, he's been charting high on Beatport with releases on Alchemy, ZYX, and Riot Recordings. Mario's remix kicks off with pounding drums and a driving bassline, featuring bright hats, shimmering percussions, infectious alarms, and chunky 303 licks. Rave stabs and dark vocals lead to a classic synth break and a powerful drop with a plucky melody. An absolute monster of a tune.

Original composer of “Metro” (2006), later reworked by Kevin de Vries & MauP and released on Afterlife, becoming one of the most played festival tracks of 2023.

Known from early residencies at Club Atmoz, Nico has released music across Danza Records, Bonzai Progressive and Black Hole Recordings, including projects such as Aqualords and remixes for Nunca and 2 Fabiola.

Recent work includes the new vocal edition of Metro titled “Neverland”, supported internationally together with a music video, followed by new originals capturing his signature melodic identity.
