The Dark Night Rises Vol. 2

The prominent Swedish duo of Elfenberg returns to the label after featuring with the wicked “Kebabsyra”on Rotten Citizens Compilation Vol.4. They've recently released music on labels such as Les Yeux Orange, Feines Tier and Hard Fist. The return to Rotten City will see the light of the long awaited  “Elfenboogie EP”, containing three powerful peak time tracks with all the flavors they like: Acid, Disco and Tribal vibes. 

“Vasta La Hista” is a clear example of a club bomb. Direct, raw, and psychedelic. 100% effective but non generic! 

“Acid Cocoon’” dig into the darker vibes with a spooky and sexy female voice in a “Post-Electroclash” exercise.

With “Elfenboogie” they show us again their favorite elements; Percussion, drive, a soulful vocal and some random weirdness to top it off. "Let's do the Elfenboogie", "Come n Elfenboogie with us”, they always joked around with the term, that now is the title track on this very EP.

The release is complemented with a remix from Julian Sanza & Alvaro Cabana Remix. Both DJs residents at Kaputt Club (Bogotá) joining forces again to turn the Classic Disco vibe of “Elfenboogie” into a trippy and cosmic interpretation.

Culminating this phenomenal year while adding weight to the label’s sterling reputation as one of the genre’s most respected homes for pioneering Techno music, VOLTA continues to go from strength to strength, attracting an endless wave of talent from around the globe. Following the release of their ‘Human Robot’ EP in August, our label head Victor Ruiz and his long-time friend and collaborator Alex Stein are back with another gripping induction to the VOLTA catalogue, this time with a very special single format via the enslaving ’New Generation’.
‘New Generation’ is a modern take on their historical and famous track ‘Generation’, which was originally released in 2012 and marked the start of their international careers. Stein and Ruiz serve a pacy, off-beat Techno cut flooded with robotic nuances and acidic tones, along with the iconic vocals that remain as compelling as they were on day one. A flawless fusion of commanding, propulsive percussion and captivating musical depth, its coarse sonics and rugged soundscapes create an eerily futuristic Techno piece, demonstrating how their timeless track can experience a rebirth while still staying true to it’s original message and energy.

Hot from their remix for Abstraal, Ark Nomads, the dynamic duo consisting of Arman from Bangladesh and Lavo from Argentina, is now dropping 'Instinct' on Family Piknik Music. These two creative minds have lately gained the support of industry giants such as David Guetta, Solomun, ARTBAT, Gioli & Assia, Adriatique, Fideles, Joris Voorn, Maceo Plex, Massano, Kevin De Vries, Argy and many more. Their dedication to their craft, innovative sound make them push the boundaries of electronic music and 'Instinct' is the perfect reflect of their vision, with a nice dancefloor approach, moody samples and an overall Indie Dance atmosphere. Co-produced with Cosmosolar, this track is a very catchy one. On the remixes, MILLA LOU & Cafius perfectly complete the EP, each with their own style.
