In December 2013 Lettuce was finishing up what was by all accounts there most fruitful and successful year too date.  They were all gathered in their defacto hometown of  Brooklyn for a week long run at Brooklyn Bowl and their last show of the year at the Capitol Theater. 

Never ones to waste a moment, Lettuce took their time together in December in between shows to record two new original tracks, “Don’t Be Afraid To Try”, which features vocalist Alecia Chakour, and “Yakitori”.  “Don’t Be Afraid To Try” is sure to be a Lettuce staple for years to come, seamlessly blending the Lettuce sound with timeless R&B vocals.  Alecia is currently touring with the band and fitting in perfectly.  “Yakitori” is classic hard-tiiing instrumental Lettuce at its best.  This is the sound that fans have come to expect from the band and “Yakitori” shows that the direction of the bands sound is still pushing funk to new heights!

Lettuce is offering these two singles for FREE through their soundcloud and on limited edition 7 in vinyl.  You can pre-order the vinyl HERE.  The tracks are also up on iTunes now.

It was a special year for the Lettuce collective in which they played huge dates at Bonnaroo, Summer Camp, the Fillmores in Denver and San Francisco and made it to a ton of cities for the first time, always met by eager fans new and old.  Lettuce Spring tour starts tonight at the Roxy in LA and rolls on through April 6.  The band then will celebrate Jazzfest at their Annual Royal Family Ball before a monster schedule of high profile festival appearances.

BIOGRAPHY 
Jude & Frank are friends, Italian DJs and producers active since 2014 in the house music scene. Their music is strongly influenced by disco and funky house sounds from the ‘70s, by house music from the ‘90s, latin vibes and all that’s “groovin”. 
In 2016 they released several tunes on top labels in the house spectrum such as Armada Music,Staar Traxx, Kontor Records, Enormous Tunes, Pornostar Records, InStereo Recordings and Cube Recordings, also supported by world-class artists such as Pete Tong, Bob Sinclar, David Guetta, Avicii, Danny Howard, Martin Garrix, Eddie Thoneick, Kryder, Nicky Romero, Fedde Le Grand, and many more. 
In 2016 their track La Luna, released by Pornostar Records and licensed on Armada Music, reached the #1 Position on Beatport Overall Chart and has been supported by Pete Tong on BBC Radio 1 Essential Selection! 
In 2017 they received a nominee at the italian DANCE MUSIC AWARD for the best tune of the year "Jude & Frank feat. Toto La Momposina - La Luna".

The Joi-Fuhl is the new project from DJ/Producer Kwame Safo (more commonly known by his Funk Butcher pseudonym) the aim of which is to bring back the raw elements of soul and funk found in classic house music, but with a difference. The Joi-Fuhl exists as multiple entities but in this chapter it’s a duo, Kwame enlisting the vocal talents of ShezAr aka Sherelle Mckenzie, a fellow Hackney-born musician and 21st-century soul sensation. ‘Don’t You Worry’ features soaring gospel vocals behind uplifting piano riffs and an urgent probing beat. Baltimore house legend DJ Spen teams up with LA-based Reelsoul to put their more direct spin on the track with a classic soul house remix, followed by a special edit from Brian Tappert himself with ‘B’s Spen & Reelsoul Believe Dub’. A brand new addition for the much-loved label set up by Brian Tappert and Marc Pomeroy in 1996, Soulfuric lives on with brand new music to add to its celebrated catalogue of releases from dance music greats.

Nickodemus' last album "A Long Engagement" was released May 2018 and made its way around the World’s listening devices & dancefloors via dj’s and an extensive tour. Now he's back with a remix album that takes the original recordings back into the clubs with slow rolling remixes from both Chancha Via Circuito & Lagartijeando as well as soulful house mixes from DJ Spinna, Pablo Sanchez & Sammy Bananas. Bosq (Whiskey Barons) takes his mix of “Livin' Your Dream” to heavy afro-reggae disco, while Sagaan (Andreas Saag) pushes “The Crow” into deep Detroit analog territories. Also weighing in are Umoja, who strip down “Mystic Molay” featuring Innov Gnawa, and The Spy from Cairo, with a cosmic electro-disco version of “Inmortales” featuring Fémina. The overall global fusion that Nickodemus is known for was taken to another level into the clubs by these carefully chosen producers.
