[ES] Inspirado por sus memorias y el pasado de su residencia actual, enternet boy retrata un lugar con tesoros exo-téricos, sabiduría y habilidades ancestrales heredadas de la tierra maya así como algunas muestras de la aportación cultural de Medio Oriente en la Peninsula yucateca. El álbum nació durante la visita a un lugar específico de la moderna ciudad meridana de T'Hó.

«Plaza Internacional» (anteriormente el Hotel Itzá), que colinda con el Palacio de la Música (antes el Congreso del Estado de Yucatán) es el recuerdo fugaz en el interior de sus nostálgicos pasillos secretos y una revelación creativa entre la arquitectura abatida. «Plaza Internacional» es un punto de análisis, introspección y autodescubrimiento de enternet boy como un ciudadano actual de un antiguo reino maya, brindado luz sobre su origen, desarrollando lo auténtica espontáneaidad y llevándola a la práctica en este LP de 40 minutos.

En esta ocasión, los sonidos brillan por su originalidad como resultado de un estudio autodidacta de tres años en el diseño de sonido experimental. Algunas canciones fueron hechos en vivo durante el Festival de Pajama 3 (track 1, 2, 3, 4, 6 y 13 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s5E-awImOmQ) y el resto salió durante un trance meditativo aka momentos de claridad/improvisación. Mejor experiencia con audífonos.

[EN] Inspired by his memories & the past of his current residence, enternet boy portrays a place with exo-therical treasures, wisdom & ancestral abilities inherited from the Mayan land as well as some samples of the cultural contribution from Middle East in the Yucatan Peninsula. The album born during a visit to a specific place in Mérida, the modern city of T'Hó.

"Plaza Internacional" (formerly the Hotel Itzá), which adjoins the Palacio de la Música (formerly the Congress of the State of Yucatán) is the fleeting memory inside its nostalgic secret corridors & a creative revelation among the dejected & descontinued architecture. "Plaza Internacional" is a point of analysis, introspection and self-discovery of enternet boy as a current citizen of an ancient Mayan kingdom, binding light to his origin, developing authentic spontaneity & taking it to the practice in this 40-minute LP.

This time, the sounds shine for their originality as the result of a three-year self-taught study in experimental sound design. A few songs were made live during Festival de Pajama 3 (track 1, 2, 3, 4, 6 & 13 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s5E-awImOmQ) while the rest came out from a meditative trance aka moments of clarity/improvisation. Better experience with headphones.

Henrik has been an integral part of the Ambientologist family from the beginning, and it’s with great pride that his work be showcased as an early member of the label family, and more still in offering a rare full length album.

Själ ties everything the Stockholm based cellist has been doing into a consolidated, coherent and above all magnificent work, filled with rich emotion and, in keeping with its namesake, beguiling soul. As one of the most expressive instruments at a composer’s disposal, Henrik allows the cello to do the talking. Slow and deeply stirring arcs, married with sweeter taps of piano, cello plucks and subtle electronics.

The evocative capacity of television or film scores pervades the album, each track painting up vivid imagery of both the real and the transcendent. Sväva takes the listener on a journey above a rolling desert, while Ren Och Fin paints a pensive picture of medieval Europe that would give Ramin Djawardi a run for his money. Master of atmosphere, anthéne, provides the epilogue with his expansive deconstruction of Kraft.

Above all, Själ is as elegant as it is grounded in immersive feeling and deep, resonant imagery. And in his own words:

The soul communicating with the nervous system.
It gives you thoughts and images in your inner mind.
It can be memories or diffuse pictures. It takes you away from reality.
A musical-tonal floating away of the mind.

Nicolas Tourney (born in Paris in 1982) is an experimental musician, intermedia artist and owner of the independent label Snow in Water Records. Through his scores/writings, workshops, and recordings, his musical approach is focused on direct perception, listening aesthetics, and human relationship to noise. Searching for a sound practice which draws the outlines of an idiom that questions the boundaries of the audible, his soundworks have been broadcast since 2018, and he has released 30 albums at a dozen labels in Europe and North America (MuteAnt Sounds, Diffuse Reality, Pan y Rosas Discos, Anticipating Nowhere Records, amongst others).
