Torture the Artist celebrates its 5th anniversary with the release of 'fivefourtwentytwentyone', a compilation compiled and mixed by the webzine-founder himself, Holger Breuer, who gathered together 17 exclusive tracks from artists that either have a record or relationship with the online magazine. 'fivefourtwentytwentyone', a numerical and literal abreviation for '5 for TTA', musically varies between Deep House and Disco, it makes an excursion to melodic and more techno-ish takes, it contains edits of current Indie/ Alternative but also Pop-artists and provides its audience with unreleased material from and of scene-heavyweights. The result is an eclectic mix that delivers several approaches to (electronic) music carefully and skillfully put together in a continuous mix that represents Torture the Artist's philosophy, namely that of offering various (mainly melodical) styles of music to its listeners from renowned as well as talented and uprising artists.

'fivefourtwentytwentyone' is released in four parts containing four tracks while each track is available as a FREE DOWNLOAD exclusively via Torture the Artist' Soundcloud-channel. The download-link for the 17th and last track, is unlocked to those who solve a riddle as each of the previously released parts will provide you with a hint.

PART IV: tenninetyonefourtwentytwenty
The fourth part of Torture the Artist's 5th anniversary compilation 'fivefourtwentytwentyone' comes with tracks/ edits from Enzo Elia, Ivory, OoU and Marc Wolf and  are summed up under the code 'tenninteyonefourtwentytwenty', meaning 10 days in 2020. Known for releases on Kompakt, Exit Strategy, Compost, Engrave Ltd or Freerange Enzo Elia contributes 'AE 180'S' to the compilation, or in other words the Berlin-freigeist with Italian roots delivers a take that combines rhythm and chords skilfully in a club-oriented – excuse me – dance floor banger. In good company it's Ivory who introduces the audience to his second track of the compilation that goes by the name of 'Underwater', but should not get lost under the radar. Icey chords and lush bass line characterize this piece of work from the Milan-based artist that keeps rolling, rolling, rolling until the epic break, followed by more icey chords and the forceful bass. Angelo Musumeci and Pavi are newly founded duo OoU, short for Out of Universe, who deliver 'Themis' or in other words, the duo releases their first track ever. The disco-ish cut captivates due to it's memorable and catchy chords as it continues to soak the listener into its vibe that is emphasized with sparse vocals and a stomping bass line. Lastly it's Marc Wolf, who not only closes part IV but also the compilation with his first original track ever, namely 'Intimacy'. The Kieler created an emotional mental track that drips into your mind like rain from the sky. At first it's a pleasant lapping but 'Intimacy' unfolds its apocalyptical musical shower in the course of time and guarantees watering salvation.

Launching the "Around the World Series" in July 2019, Perspectives Digital promised to introduce a selection of exceptional artists to the underground dance music fraternity. Continuing that pledge, Vol. 2 sees a quintet of new tracks featuring (in alphabetical order) Darin Epsilon (USA), Deepesh Sharma (India), SNYL (Hungary), Valerio and Gux Jimenez (Colombia), and Zalvador (Colombia).

Opening the EP, label head honcho Darin Epsilon showcases another melodic gem in "Day of Remembrance". Underpinned by muted arpeggio and rolling percussive groove, a free-flowing lead line meanders across proceedings with ease while mirrored cello strings and a counterpoint glassy motif add layers of depth and aural texture. Building effortlessly, through a gloriously stripped-back breakdown, the final stages continue to combine rhythm and melody in a sonic showcase of craft and technique.

A new artist to the Perspectives Digital fold, Deepesh Sharma is a regular sight across the clubs of India, and internationally in Amsterdam, Barcelona, and Thailand's "Full Moon Festival" in front of 60,000 party-goers. With performances alongside the likes of ARTBAT, Christian Smith, and Robert Babicz, a nascent production career has seen releases for Minitech and Orange Recordings now followed by the hypnotic bass power of "Let Me In" for PD. Full of driving energy, heavy kicks, and cadenced hats, a shimmering arpeggio filters into sonic range while a reverb-laden piano adds a subtle motif. A movie sample adds texture at the midpoint while a searing new phrase adds intrigue in the second half with a rarely heard fade to finish.

Beginning his career in 2004, Ferenc Topa has had considerable success under a number of different production monikers, not least under his Reelaux which saw him release on the likes of Armada, Pacha, and Perfecto. Under his SNYL soubriquet, the Hungarian artist has seen his music featured on the likes of Click Records, Stellar Fountain, and Artessa Music. Another Perspective Digital debutant, "Manoka" ripples across its 6:30 timeframe with mesmerizing drama. A club-friendly beat provides a strong anchor while a sustained analog bassline filters in and out of range with ease. Hitting its stride post-breakdown, a dynamic energy carries the track forwards with ease.

From the 16th century walled town of Cartagena, Gux Jimenez has seen his profile rise consistently with over 15 years experience in the underground dance industry. With almost 300 production credits to his name, the Colombian has continued to impress with regular appearances in Beatport genre charts. Furthermore, music signed to likes of UV, Balkan Connection, and Clubsonica Records, Jimenez has consistently found support from peers and fans alike. Joined by fellow countryman Valerio, himself an artist of note, "Serendipity" immediately makes an impact with its chest-thumping kick and ticking percussive top line. Through a rich sonic palette, an array of melodic layers entwine and develop as chord progressions add atmosphere and emotion. A hard-edged lead adds dynamic power at the breakdown while the track explodes in the second half with a sumptuous milieu of rhythm and melody.

A debut in November 2018 saw Zalvador make waves with his "Boreal" EP on Soundteller Records. With a penchant for the sounds of progressive house and melodic techno, the Colombian artist has continued to gain notoriety and success with additional music signed to the likes of Freegrant Music, Bonzai Progressive, and 3rd Avenue. Constantly developing his unique sound, Zalvador delivers an impressive Perspectives Digital debut with "Zenit". A hypnotic arpeggio and driving beat open proceedings while metronomic hi-hats add definition to the sonic collage. A crisp, syncopated arpeggio enters the arrangement with dynamic key change adding smooth emotion. White noise washes build to a crescendo at the midpoint as "Zenit" maintains a delicate balance of melodic subtlety and dancefloor character.

Artist BIO:

Alessandro Niccolai aka Recode is a young emerging artist. He was born in Pistoia, Florence, in 1996 and began to produce electronic music since childhood. He studied piano for many years and his first passion was house music. After several years focusing on electronic sounds he approached techno sonority, that will then become his main genre. Analog sounds and hot vocals characterize his live-sets, than can vary from electronic to techno.
The project started in 2018, after several releases on industry labels, launches its EP ‘’Irreale’’ on the famous Dutch label infinite Depth, receiving many positive feedback from artists of the world scene. A few months later he released on free download his edit of Empire Of The Sun - We are The People , played by Tale Of Us at the Afterlife New York for the first time and later in many other parties around the world. After its release the track has a very positive match, reaching in short time 10k views and downloads. The year ends with the EP ‘’Energia’’ on the new label ''Notturna'' by the famous Italian producers Undercatt.
The tracks receiving a massive support from artists such as Kölsch, Artbat, Fideles and also in important radio shows, Pete Tong (BBC Radio) and the best ‘’m20’’ electronic podcast.
