Wenn gemeinsam Träume wahr werden... Was ein Festival, was eine Insel, was ne Crew, was ne Crowd und was ein morgen! Da ich mich erst vor 2 Jahren auf den Events der @mystic-tales-berlin in Downtempo verliebt habe, war es schon ultra schön zu hören, dass die Mystics uns vom BeYond Kollektiv dabei haben wollten um ihre schöne Insel in Polen in eine zauberhafte Parallelwelt zu verwandeln✨. Dass @thisisrakaethe und ich dann auch noch den Mainfloor für @hhaller einheizen durften war ein einziges Träumchen. Nur schön und unfassbar aufregend die eigenen Lieblingstracks und die ersten eigenen Produktionen auf so einer Anlage zu betanzen.  Und wieviele Lieblingsmenschen mit uns in der Hitze breit grinsend sich wild tanzend in der Musik verloren haben werde ich literally nie vergessen. Wir können die nächsten gemeinsamen Abenteuer kaum abwarten🚀

When dreams come true together... What a festival, what an island, what a crew, what a crowd and what a morning!  Since I fell in love with downtempo only 2 years ago at the Mystics events, it was super special to hear that the Mystics wanted us from the BeYond collective there to turn their beautiful island into a magical parallel world. That @thisisrakaethe  and I were booked to heat up the mainfloor for @hhaller was literally a dream come true. Just beautiful and incredibly exciting to dance to your own favorite tracks and your first own productions on such a sound system.  And I will literally never forget how many of our favorite people lost themselves in the music, smiling brightly and dancing wildly in the heat. We can hardly wait for the next adventures together.
Big big thank you to the @mystic-tales-berlin who made dreams come true for so many people in Poland. Only love to @beyondcollectiveberlin for the dreamlike family trip on this mystical island.

I had a blast playing again at Burn Night at Birgit. Celebrating exactly one year since my first ever club gig, this was a wild eclectic ride full of surprises and joy. I am so moved by the beautiful responses I got for my set. Enjoy!

Waves of Pleasure @ Burn Night Spring 24 | Birgit

When Kiez Burn's legendary Saloon stage said they were going Tiki this year and invited me back to play, I was struck by a vision of Crash Bandicoot and a fiendish desire to replicate the trippy atmosphere of my favourite childhood video game in a mix. Or rather, the idea had been giggling in the back of my mind for some time and I finally had the perfect excuse to actualise my silly little dream - which, after all, is what Burns are all about. 

I already had a few perfect tracks that I never found the right opportunity to play. Little did my future self let me know that I was collecting these gems (or time crystals) for exactly this moment. Then came three solid days of crate digging, driven by obsession or divine impulse, during which my Aku Aku-like enthusiasm never ceased to grin.

The two-hour journey I crafted is the story of a Crash Bandicoot player who, after countless attempts at the same level, finds themselves drifting into a fever dream or vision in which they are INSIDE the game. It's fast-paced and sometimes scary - after all, speeding boulders often appear from nowhere, and let us not forget about the ever-present threat of Crash's nemesis, the mad scientist Neo Cortex, and his minions. The tempo changes present in this mix, as our player enters different jungle environments, were undoubtedly caused by Cortex's time-altering schemes. Can you hear the whirring of his electrical machines?

Retro video game motifs, and the gentle voice of David Lynch, are reassuring reminders that this unrelenting reality might not be as real as it seems. Thankfully, there are some well-earnt dopamine releases known to every gamer and audiophile. "You just gotta break that shit down," encourages one vocal. As Crash Bandicoot players know, many rewards come from breaking shit down. Towards the end of the journey, there is an epiphany about memory and the self. I'll let you guess the true meaning of that one for yourself.

I performed this set around sunset on Acid Friday, which was also the day of the summer solstice and full moon - already a magickal occasion. Dressed as the Fool for my homage to the idiot hero, I set out to mindfuck the many tripping minds that gathered to experience the surprise I had concocted for them. Many minds were indeed fucked; some told me they were equally thrilled and terrified, clinging on for dear life, wondering where the ride would take them next. I did not blame them, since the sonic spectrum touched many genres, some as disparate as drum & bass and '70s classic rock.

My silly little dream became a festival highlight for some. The dance floor spilled out of the Saloon's swinging doors and onto the old runway beside. Some discerning souls even figured out my great riddle, identifying glimmers of the Crash Bandicoot soundtrack.

Above all silliness, and all madness, this mix is a love letter to The Saloon, who have welcomed me to their stage for three years running, and watched me evolve as a DJ meanwhile. It is only on such an unserious stage that I could take so many comedic and artistic risks - all the while kept alive by ice-cold cocktails.

My ninth time as a guest, my second time as an artist, my first time on the "Seebühne"... 

Like many others before me, I would like to thank you for this special edition of the Fusion Festival. Even though my performance was mainly characterized by thunderstorms and rain, afterwards I was just happy how largely peaceful and respectful it was on site. With all the criticism and political ambiguity in the world, I was very worried that in the days during the festival it would not be art but conflicts that would be in the foreground - fortunately that wasn't the case. I was able to enjoy many great DJ/ Live sets as well as interesting panel discussions. 

Thanks to everyone who was there despite the difficult weather conditions. But also a thank you to those who sent feedback and listened to the set now. It inspires me so much to believe in my own sound and not chase trends
