This was a spontaneous musical offering held at Beal Boru, Brian Boru's fort in Co. Claire, Ireland.  Now a faery fort covered in grass and trees; the fort holds an ancient and musical spirit. This second set from Transformus 2016 opened the Gates at the end of the night to a beautiful Sunrise. It captures the essence of beauty in transformation, which is why I felt it was so appropriate to share today.

Many people today are grieving in the United States over the corruption of the Democratic National Convention and the loss of Bernie Sanders as a nominee for President. Where I saw great hope in so many people, I now see so much distaste for the corrupt American Political System, and fear at what is to come.

With this music, I say to them: do not be afraid. Even the darkest night gives way to the Dawn. This path of shadow is essential to our true awakening of inner power and sovereignty. We can only make these massive changes ourselves, and we must be the leaders and drivers that bring real social, economic, and environmental justice to the people.

Remember, in your heart lies the key to the greatest gift of all...

I Will Stand

In 2015 I met the incredible visionary photo alchemist Nicole Erfan of Parvana Photography. We collaborated on this image, and I asked her if i could try my hand at writing a song to go with it. After she sent me the finished image, a song came in its entirety as I drove in 4 minutes from one friends house to another's, dictating this song directly into my phone recorder. 

I went home and worked out an arrangement, and asked my friend Jesse Autumn lay her harp twinkles on it (on my birthday no less). I then brought the track to the masterful and imaginative Eric Oberthaler (eO), who spent some moons gestating with it, adding brush strokes here and there, and teasing apart the cinematic glory that ultimately brought this song to its magical life. 

This project is one of my favorite new ways to collaborate, beginning with a vision, an image, and crafting a song, that comes from the archetypal realms summoned. Thankyou Nicole for your patience and for being the muse for this creation, and to eO for making it what it is. This song is a dream come true for me, of sounds I've heard the fae folk whisper to me as I fall asleep.
