“Sad & Sanitized” is a collection of songs I wrote during quarantine in this pandemic. The album explores the feelings of isolation, loneliness, and distance from loved ones, significant others, and even family. It was a flurry of emotions dealing with an event that none of us could’ve ever been prepared for. With us artists losing gigs and opportunities left and right, I was just trying to make the most of this time to continue to create and build others up. We’re all going through same thing, wanted to tell stories of the experiences and make it as accessible and relatable as I could.

A year from last Saturday I released my second EP, "Palette." I just wanted to say thank you so much to everyone who gave that album so much play and shared it with their friends. It really means the world to have such a supportive group of friends behind me. You guys embraced that release in such a huge way. From giving "Love Like Wine" and Why Do I Still?" so much love and views, to the release party holding 200 strong. That album has a special place in my heart and has a huge mark on my music career so from the bottom of my heart, thank you. 

With that being said, I wanted to commemorate that year anniversary with the release of "Why Do I Still?" [Unplugged]. "Why Do I Still?" is one of my fastest rising sounds to date. You guys embraced that song so warmly and it's still so surreal to see all the milestones that song has hit. From Spotify to Billboard, to the choreography and dance teams, the response has been amazing. The story is a special one and writing it was an experience I'll never forget. I hope this version gives you a new appreciation of this narrative.

Brutally Honest

One In A Million (feat. Stefani Kimber)

“Automatic” places the listener at then end of a relationship and the period of reminiscing on what went wrong and what could’ve been different.
It’s a constant back and forth between doubt and peace of mind. Often times we place the other side on a pedestal so we find carry the weight of the blame. While the verses depict the retrospective longing for resolution and the sense of guilt over how things transpired, the chorus closes at accepting that maybe some things were beyond control and maybe much of that blame is misplaced. There are two sides to every relationship. While the end of something can be a lot to process at one time, here we find the slow arrival to the reality of the opposite side’s fault, shattering the glass and knocking over the pedestal.
With a saxophone solo at the bridge and a narrative that carefully unravels from start to finish, “Automatic” draws upon inspiration from throwback Pop/RnB ballads but with a modern twist.
This narrative can be applied to any sort of relationship, such as friends or family. I think everyone experiences tension in various relationships and retraces their steps all the same.
